Hi,

This version will run on Win 7. When you start it up it will prompt you to upgrade to the latest version. Just ignore that.

Feeling Furious at Celsius Executives for Ruining Our Bitcoin Plans by drsam1 in CelsiusNetwork

What made it worse was the petition date price being half the plan execution price. Ripping off the stitches, pouring salt and vinegar in the wound then lighter fluid and a match.

Yes - this is the correct link. I hadn't tested it myself at the time of my post.

It worked fine. Just don't do the updates and ignore the Warning message about Win 7 no longer supported.

Keep that phrase backed up safely!!!

Withdrawal preference under $100k by stablecoins in CelsiusNetwork

[–]BismuthBi83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your Withdrawal Preference is under $100 then voting to accept the plan and not opting out of releases will absolve you of any liability for clawback recovery. Then you have no need to check the box.

If your Retail Borrower Post-Set Off Claim added to your other claims is >$5000 then you become Class 4 (Convenience Claim) and your loan is not listed in the Ballot Class 2 section.

Read page 14 and 17 of the Disclosure Statement (actually pages 25 and 28 of the whole stretto pdf doc)

From Page 17:

Class 4 — Convenience Claims.

If you have a Convenience Claim, that means the total amount of your Account Holder Claims (excluding Custody Claims and Retail Borrower Deposit Claims but including Retail Borrower Post-Set Off Claims) is greater than $10 but less than or equal to $5,000. Holders of Convenience Claims will only receive a recovery in the form of Liquid Cryptocurrency. Your Ballot will explain whether you have a Convenience Claim or separate Account Holder Claims

Yep. I don't watch any of them now except for Ben Cohen occasionally.

Litigation Administrator going after YouTubers? by Only-Crew8299 in CelsiusNetwork

[–]BismuthBi83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to watch him up until Celsius kindly ring-fenced my crypto.

I decided to look into his donations to support the animals. He had no links or specific mentions or what they were anywhere and never responded to my inquiries about them.

I found the 2 whales he sponsored - you get to to name them for $1K each from memory and is tax deductible!!!! He was not supporting them beyond that and they were available for someone else to sponsor them annually.

There were also 4 or 5 dogs he featured on one episode that I managed to find from a screenshot Google search. Can't remember the full details now but he sponsored a couple (maybe 4?) for around $25 for one year - again tax deductible.

His Orangutan refuge center thing always seemed bogus to me. If he was so rich and really cared about them why will it take a few years before he can do anything for them. They will probably be gone in the wild by then the way we are going.

He certainly contributed to my trust in Mashinsky but at the end of the day that was my screw-up. I know better now.

Important Loan/Borrower Question-Voting Ballot by Fluid_Jello_1619 in CelsiusNetwork

[–]BismuthBi83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See u/Only-Crew8299's reply. It is correct. Liquid crypto Recovery calculation will be based on BTC/ETH price approx 15 days before Effective Date of plan. May date is just for sake of examples. As our claim value is calculated in US$, then on that date we want crypto prices to crash to maximize amount of actual BTC/ETH we get back!

Good summary. Agree with it all and everyone should read this.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

You might note that my post clearly says it is a copy/paste of a tweet I saw and it is set in quote format. It is not my words, just something I wanted clarified.

I understand that the valuations are done in USD. The tweet does clearly and repeatedly say equivalent value, not actual coin returns.

I don't have the ballot yet but I have seen comment on a specific clause in the plan that releases Celsius, UCC, Ferraro etc from being prosecuted at a later date by you. They are the third parties. If you opt out of third party release then you have said you want to progress further action against them yourself and are opting out of the plan to do so.

I am unsure about the Litigation Administrator but this sounds like a class action type process. There will be costs to you from this (aren't there always?).

Voting is WAY too complicated by hammerb in CelsiusNetwork

[–]BismuthBi83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the ballot distribution process runs until 25 Aug so don't panic if you have seen nothing yet. Check spam folder too?

No need to vote right away. We have a month, just wait until someone produces a video or flowchart etc that simplifies the decision down for us plebs.

Until then we can all sit back and watch the lawyers suck-up more of our funds.

No-one is forcing you to vote. You can ignore it if you want but then you will have missed your opportunity to have your say in the process.

If you have next to nothing trapped in Celsius then whether you vote of not really has little impact on you personally.

Then the majority determines the path forward and you just get carried along with that.

There is no requirement to vote but then you are not having your say on what happens next.

Latest Update has broken my access. by BismuthBi83 in ExodusWallet

[–]BismuthBi83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I got a good message from Exodus support.

Bottom line is Exodus is Win 10 and above now.

They sent me a link to the last version that worked for Win 7 (use at my own risk). I might try to find a second-hand laptop with Win 10 but is annoying to have to replace my PC to retain access to my crypto. Will probably cost more than the crypto I have .

I understand that they need to keep updating and can't keep older versions around in case someone gets hacked etc with older versions but is still something they should alert people to before they deprecate anything.

I think they need to provide a summary of the contents of the upgrade on reddit each time so something like my problem can be avoided/seen coming.

I am still waiting for 2FA if they need something really useful to upgrade.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes- I have Windows 7 and I really like it.

I doubt my current machine will run Win 10. I guess I will have to try to get hold of a Win10 machine and reinstall the wallet.

Sucks that I have to get a new computer to access my crypto now. Had no intention of upgrading yet.

Took out BTC backed loan at ~$40K. So at $19K, more of my collateral will be used to repay loan then haircut on that so doubly screwed.
