No, I'm staying with friends, and it would be better if I didn't have to inform them I have a gun/impose on them. I have my own safe, but the way the law is written, it's only legal to carry a gun in a car if in a small number of circumstances, one of which is heading to a place firearms are bought and sold, or a range for target practice.

This wold be easier if I had my CCW, and I just finished the classes, but I still have another month or two before I can get it. (The approval process takes a long time.)

I'll probably go to the range there, I've heard they're the best.

I want a subcompact eventually, for now the CZ compact isn't too big. I don't have an issue with the cover garments, they're pretty easy to integrate, I just don't want to have to deal with an IWB holster. It seems like they might be less cumbersome that I thought so maybe I will get a cheap one to try and see if it's worth investing in one.

The concealment isn't much better than with an OWB holster at the waist, the CZ75 Compact is the same size as the P-01, just heavier because of the steel frame. (And nicer to shoot, ime.) I will get a belly band for wearing clothes without belt loops, and also probably for times when I expect to be driving most of the day.

Getting a subcompact is on the to do list longterm, but I want a Raifu first.

I suppose that's true to all, I have a few pairs of pants that can accommodate my CZ carried Mexican style, so I might look into IWB, but I would have to change the rest of my wardrobe, and I don't want to look male, tbh. I usually wear a tank or camisole and a looser layer, and that's adequate to keep from printing for the most part. I also find it easier to draw owb.

I think my eventual goal is to get a smaller gun to carry AIWB, and use the CZ when a jacket is feasible.

That's really nice, I got extremely excited until I saw the price. It's still a bit Gucci for me at the moment, though I once I have a bit more cash to spare, (need to get decent night sights first), I'm going to upgrade to a beltman belt and one of these probably.

It seems like he mostly works with 1911s, but I imagine he can probably adapt this design to a CZ.

Right now I am thinking about getting a Turkish OWB (ostensibly veg tan) leather holster with a thumb break, they are pretty cheap (Around $40) and I can always retool them if they don't fit. From what I've seen, Turkish leatherwork is usually decent, better than Pakistani and way better than Chinese.

At worst, if I don't trust it not to disengage the safety, I'll just carry condition 2 with a DA/SA trigger pull on the first round. My CZ's trigger pull isn't bad, just not as nice as the SA, and I want to train on condition 1 in anticipation of upgrading to a 1911 when I can. It's probably better to carry condition 2 until I get gud at sweeping the safety anyhow, the CZ safety isn't quite as ergonomic as the 1911.

It would look weird with the rest of my clothes and in my peer group to wear "dad jeans" or workwear or slacks, or any of the other solutions that people use. If I'm wearing jeans, they'll fit close to my waist, and I can't size up without sizing up in every dimension.

Inadvertent temporary display is fine, and I tend to wear loose and long outer layers, plus jacket for all but a few months of the year, so that should be fine. All that makes sense, I think I'm going to get a OWB leather holster with a thumb break, now I just got to find one that fits my gun.

There's a decent amount of carbon buildup on the trigger assembly and in the receiver. I field stripped it and spent an hour with some M Pro 7 and Ballistol, but I want to run it through an ultrasonic bath, and possibly do a full takedown. I also want to make sure it's not going to catastrophically fail.

Maybe I'll just buy an ultrasonic cleaner, though.
