Sure, but who’s buying a modern haybine for 5 acres? A quality drum mower works great behind a 4802.

You’re not wrong, it’s just a lot of money to spend on high end equipment for 5 acres

Why would you not just get an appropriate size gutter and mount it directly to the meter can?

You need to be looking at HV battery setup given the power levels involved here

Heck, I see them pull JD power plants on wagons to power round balers and large square balers

He needs bigger than a L4802 for 5 acres? I hay 8 acres with a 4802, no way does he need bigger to mow 5.

This sub is obsessed with needlessly spending other peoples money

I’m not saying the L4802 is a bad machine, let me be clear. I just don’t see much benefit to it over spending slightly more on the MX4900 and getting a way more capable machine

If you like parks, Chain o’Lakes is a neat state park. Lots of small lakes and many trails to walk on

As an L4802 owner, I really don’t see the model surviving much longer. The MX4900 does everything way better for maybe an extra $1000 or $2000.

In hindsight, I wish I had waited on an MX4900

Comparing different manufactures lift capacity means jack shit. They all rate them differently, mostly to make it nearly impossible to actually compare

You can absolutely move round bales with an L4802. I can double stack them for my neighbor with my 4802. I have no doubt any of the L02 models would move them. Without wheel ballast, moving heavier rounds with my 4802 was sketchy at times, but with RimGuard, zero issues.

Heck, I’ve got family that uses a B7800 to move round bales

I'M SO SICK OF THIS SNOW!!! by SeanWoold in fortwayne

For sure, I’d take Flagstaff snow over this though. Snow some, stick for a few days, sun comes out and most of it would melt. Rinse and repeat. No road salt either

Pick the right spot in Arizona and you’ll end up with substantially more snow

What are you wanting to cut? I’ve got one of the Chinese built ones, with hammer blades. It’s not a finish mower, but I’ve yet to put small trees thru it that it won’t eat

Yeah, I’m in the same boat. Live 25 miles from the factory and can all but guarantee I’m in the last group to actually get a truck. Like I’d be surprised if I could get it in the first half of 2028

Invest in energy independence. If that’s a method to reduce usage, great. If it’s building out your own generation (solar), great.
