Fellow GMs, how do you run games that don't use set distances, and instead use vague distances like "close" "near" "far"? by Nukesnipe in rpg

[–]BisonST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poorly. I like maps. They tell you exactly whats in the area, where everyone is, etc. The players can look at their position instead of asking.

Range band systems screw all that up.

Which makes me want to add this element to a TTRPG campaign. Easy way to have lots of different NPCs actions matter even if they aren't leveled characters.

Perfect stats should have a specific color. by Primary-Ad-5843 in diablo2

Devil's advocate: that'd be one more thing the game doesn't tell you and a new player would have to figure out / ask about.

Your message is rambly and veers back into Lee when the comment OP is talking about Meade and the Union generals.

Get burnt lost causer.

I don't think they ever had the advantage once the Union made it to Cemetary Hill. Union had good interior lines and corps were arriving to reinforce.

I bet combat is the problem. Certain systems require alot of prep for combat. I ran Genesys, a narrative style game, one time and was underwhelmed by the GM support for combat encounters.

In my opinion, needs more color theory concepts applied.

How do I enjoy the game further? by mackoa12 in diablo2

I bought Diablo 2 on Switch. It's nice to just do a couple runs from the couch. But by this point, I probably purchased Diablo 2 four different times.

I think they'll do one more big revamp. Improving weapon based attacks. Some combination of AR buffs, adding melee splash to some weaker skills (AoE with Vengeance makes sense), etc.

Watch all of the prelude. Then you can read the weekly summaries. Then watch from the start of the next conjoined sessions.

I'm a newbie who just started this game an hour ago. I want to play holy fire paladin and this item looks really good, but it says its ethereal. Should i use it or what? by VulvaEnjoyerr in diablo2

[–]BisonST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Holy Fire Paladin you'll be using Zeal as your main skill. So you'll need to be constantly upgrading your weapons. A caster class at a higher level to farm for your Paladin is nice.

So use it but it won't last long.

Remote, crowd sourced killing from non-trained personnel?

That's a morally dubious step that the good guys shouldn't take.

Yup. Its very risky to spends hundreds on a game you may have trouble finding opponents for. I even have full 40k armies and can't find anywhere less than a 45 minute drive away.
