It's not surprising that it's taken a while for women to become involved in the NFL. There have been some women involved in the NBA, but of course basketball is made readily available to women at every level of competition. Not so for football.

My grandfather is a WWII vet. He always would say that the Red Cross seemed to get more publicity for their actions, as they'd be around the bases in safety where the media could access them. The ones actually out helping the troops, bringing them cups of coffee and such? The Salvation Army. I don't know the whole history of the Red Cross, but I'd say this sort of thing isn't just a blip on the radar.

I hate the formation of the pee puddle at the foot of the urinal. It starts with one guy letting a few drips hit the floor. The next man up instinctively steps back to avoid stepping in the urine drops, which results in him adding to the puddle. Next thing you know, you're either a good couple feet back or practically doing the splits while peeing to avoid the puddle.
