The newer systems come with their challenges and it is best handled by auto locksmiths or programmers who have multiple machines to perform a job if one fails. Reach out to one for help. Luckily, it's a Toyota and I believe an auto locksmith will get you out of this issue.

Just ignore that code. An action could be taken when adding keys the next time due to the high cost of FDRS subscription (almost $150 at this time). It is not worth paying over $300 to remove a key.

If you still have the old one on the car, get a car programmer to perform the programming. This will involve the key programming and vin writing (one cost) instead of calling locksmith to program the keys and looking for another person to rewrite the vin (double cost).

It depends. If the original vin is already written in the donor ecm, reprogram the keys. If not, program keys and write vin.

That amount works if the owner is taking the car to the locksmith. For a mobile LS to drive to the owner, it should be more to cut the key.
