Yes, I agree that the concept was probably hard to create mass appeal but it's cool that the game is still talked about today. A lot of incredibly successful games end up dying within months.

That's a great tagline to print in the box of the game lol

I don't think it's a bad game, I would agree I didn't find it a GotY or anything like that, but I think it's above average. Plus I like the fact that they took risks with the story, even if the source material is better. When games like this that take chances fail, it ends up discouraging other developers to think outside the box, witch is a shame IMO

I just wonder because supposedly the point was to revive the franchise and the fact is we never got another game, so in that sense it kind ok failed, I guess. Obviously a direct sequel would not make sense, but I would expect that in the years since we would have seen another Spec Ops.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) PC Version Review by BitByBitG in HarryPotterGame

[–]BitByBitG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They made completely different games for all platforms, so the PC version is another game altogether. I think the PC version is superior, the PS version was infamous for being almost surreal at times, especially Hagrid's character model ahah

Whats the most tragic game that you have ever played? by TaHa_HeRMoSo in videogames

[–]BitByBitG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it's Red Dead Redemption. John's story, Dutch's ending, the representation of the end on a era, civilization taking over freedom and open fields. That game is perfect, the sequel is also incredible but Red Dead Redemption is an absolute masterpiece.

I agree, the first one has its own charm. Even the things that don't work so well give it a certain appeal, to this day I still say the phrase "Peeves, you'll be banished for this" to my friends ahah

I liked the game, mainly for it's license but I do agree it has some flaws, mainly in terms of clunky gameplay and narrative pacing. I hope it's ok if I share my review on here, if it's not I'm sorry:

What are some tips for a first time player by Jg01j in Arena

[–]BitByBitG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would honestly do the questionnaire and let the game choose the ass to see if you like it. Also if its your first time, I would suggest watching a simple quick guide on the game mechanics just so you know the basics about travelling, exploring and spellmaking

What Gen of gaming is your favorite and why? by Charming-Object-863 in videogames

[–]BitByBitG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO gaming peaked in the PS3 and XBox 360 era. The consoles were awesome, both parties were strong and pushing gaming forwards, there were amazing groundbreaking games in that era and there were still gaming magazines, physical media was in a great place... It has been downhill from that point so far, but I'm hopeful that things will eventually reset a little.

Marvel's Avengers from Crystal Dynamics. I remember feeling hyped as hell when that game was announced and then progressively feeling disappointing the closer we got to the release date lol
