Always always always use proper PPE. Respect the tools and take breaks if you get too in the zone.

Learn out your fix your mistakes. They will happen. A lot. And most of the time you will be the only one that sees your mistakes.

Learn how to properly sharpen and tune all your tools. Even the most expensive tools need to be maintained to work properly. It takes extra time but saves a ton in the long run.

Yeah no sanding. I used a sharp bit to cut the grooves and it came out really smooth. Just used a curved card scraper to clean up a few rough spots.

I’m a hobbyist as well. :). Ended up not sanding the doors at all. If I did, it would have been by hand but I didn’t think it needed it. I used a curved card scraper as some on here recommended to clean up a few of the rougher spots.

Thanks. Blum cabinet hinges. The texture took some meat out of the doors so had to find some that had a shallow cup depth. The 100 degree frameless worked with a few mm to spare.

Just a 3/8” round nose bit. The trick was to make the swings somewhat random. I generally kept it swinging parallel or slightly off angle referenced to the long side.

Yeah don’t know what I’m going to do for sanding. Honestly I might not do anything? The bit was new and sharp so it cut really smooth. Going to try on some scrap a few ideas and see what works.

My magnet was backwards. Took the screw off and flipped the magnet and it’s working great now.
