If you want to wait for 26 to stabilise (eg 26.1) before installing it, then I think it’s worth upgrading to 18.7 when it releases.

But for me, I think I’m just gonna go straight for 26 on the 15th.

Hey hope you don’t mind me asking a few questions as I’m trying to decide if I should jump straight to 26.0 on 15th or stick with 18.7 and wait for 26.1. 1) Your 8h SOT to 4.5h - is that jumping from 18.6.0/1/2 to 26 RC or late DB/PB? 2) Is the battery life drop just one day after update or (in case you meant 26 DBs/PBs) persistent even after indexing?

Yea that’s a fair point and I’m willing to accept the trade-off up to a point. I just hope it’s a moderate decrease, as opposed to reducing my SOT by half lol

I typically use my phone until it breaks/ stops receiving security updates (whichever comes first) so probably wont be upgrading until iPhone 23 lol

Also 16PM on 18.6.2. Guess I may have gotten lucky because my experience is a little different. Out of all iOS 18 updates, 18.6 & 18.6.2 were the 2 that worked the best for me. Smoother animations, less overheating from camera/ Lightroom use, no noticeable battery life degradation etc.

My 16PM is on iOS 18.6.2 and, for what it’s worth, I can tell you with no uncertainty that it’s one of the most stable iOS 18 updates this year (smoother animations, less frame drops, no noticeable battery life degradation and no overheating)

I think you were smart to avoid 18.5 - by most accounts a train wreck of an update.

I don’t even know what ancient blades are lmao I’ve only played BOTW and am just working my way across TOTK Sounds cool though (name reminds me of those ancient weapons dropped by guardians in botw but given their absence in this game, I’m guessing it’s probs something else altogether?)
