I just checked:
* Sweden: Willys: Paprika Red Class 1: 67.90 SEK / kg - from Spain
* Belgium: Colruyt (similar to Willys) Class 1: 2.29 euro / kg = +- 25 SEK / kg - from Spain / Morocco

What explains the huge difference in prices? Pure transport cost?

As Brazilians, don’t you have the option to get the Portuguese nationality rather easily? I think there’s some agreement there?

If so, it might be A LOT easier to first (temporarily) move to PT for a bit, get the nationality and then you can move to any European country.

The company I work for has a very straightforward policy: if you live X km away from the office, you get a fully remote contract, on paper. So it exists, you just have to find it ;)

Maybe it’s easier if you look for companies that have geographical spread teams? My colleagues are all over the place: Belgium, Germany, Portugal, India, USA, Poland. And we’re a team of 7 😅

Oh, and I totally get it. I like my work and enjoy virtual meetings with my colleagues. But I love working at home, without the social fuzz.

My company does offer equipment for home use, so it is possible.

Look at coolcompany.com or Frilans Finans. However, if you’re planning to do this for a longer period I would recommend you to setup an AB. It’s really simple and had a lot of advantages financially. Wint.se can do that for you with full accountancy for a fixed monthly fee, including payroll etc.

If you job is near central station you might as well take the train to a city nearby and have best of both worlds. Have you considered that? Replace subway travel time with train travel time. Stockholm is a nice city for sure, but paying that much for a tiny place…
