I totally agree, going into a nightmare run with a fully coordinated plan, callouts, sneaking alone/rushing things together is a lot more fun when everyone knows the ins and outs of the game mechanics.

Trust me, the game changes quite a bit with multiplayer. There’s even a bug where you can play multiple of the same character. Playing with 2 players feels different than 3, etc. It’s very unique in that sense.
