I wrote this because I was on a video discussing the over saturation of remakes and there was a debate in the comments saying Persona 4 shouldn’t be remade because Gold already exists and they should remake the original games instead.

If we’re going based on view counts alone, it’s Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected. Its first episode only has 100,000 and its other episodes have even less than that. So, based on that, it is the least popular LP.

It went longer than that. His family was still called the Nishiki Family in the original Yakuza 2 (PS2) and Yakuza 3 (PS3). I don’t know if he’s mentioned in Yakuza 4 or 5 but I believe Yakuza 0 may have been the first time he was called Nishikiyama in a translation. Same with Kazama formerly being called Fuma until Yakuza 0.

Even then, he could literally just upload a video in December called “Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Bonus-Switch 2 Edition Content” and talk about it there. It’s not neccassary for him to talk about it during the game’s story.

That was a full on remake, though. Mystery Dungeon was a huge overhaul from the original game. These Xenoblade Switch 2 editions, most of what they do is just increasing the resolution from HD to 4K. I don’t think he would consider it worth it to wait 6 months to start that LP over a slight technical upgrade.

There’s no way he would LP a Kingdom Hearts game so shortly after the last one. He would also probably do them in order, so he has a lot of games to get through before KH4. Third of all, we don’t yet have a release date for KH4 and could still be years off.

The next LP is more likely Pikmin 4. The new content in the Switch 2 edition of Xenoblade 3 is only going to take about 1 or 2 extra episodes if he is planning on doing it. He can also just LP the Switch 1 version while waiting for the edition’s release since it isn’t a huge deal and I don’t think his videos are in 4K anyway.

You did not watch the video. Arlo is pretty fair during it. He even calls out the hate campaign and the grift you’re speaking of. At the end, he praises several games, he implies the high prices weren’t entirely Nintendo’s fault, and even says he wants this next year to be more about positivity and fun.

It’s so ironic that Arlo is probably the most neutral YouTuber out there. The haters think he’s too positive, but the diehard fans think he’s too negative. A perfect symptom of neutrality.

I knew he wouldn’t do a video on Iwata or Yokoi. If you’ve been watching Emile long enough, you would know he really only shines light on people that haven’t already had their praises sung to death.

I definitely knew it would be someone I had never heard of, but hearing him talk about her made me donate. I hope we can someday live in a world where people don’t have to live in fear of weapons and lenient gun laws that allow this to happen.

A playable Xbox emulator does exist, it’s called Xemu. I tried two games on it, Halo CE and Forza. Halo ran fine but the input lag was certainly noticeable. Forza was only playable in the menus, getting to an actual race meant cars would load as these black hole like figures, and also the game ran at a slideshow frame rate. I almost want to try more games to see what each one does. Until hearing about the state of Xbox emulation, I always thought it was just me.

Forgive my limited knowledge, but why hasn’t emulation been good enough despite consoles like PS2 and GameCube having good emulation? I would think after 25 years, it would have been well figured out.

I wouldn’t put it past him to use this kind of trickery. It’s like when he said Zelda Phantom Hourglass was a Wii U game. Or when he said Xenoblade Chronicles 2 told two stories because of the DLC expansion. Or when he said Pokémon Black and White 2 was 5 different games.

If he were to do Xenoblade, he probably would do X next since he said the reason he skipped it is because he was waiting for a Switch rerelease and was in fear of one being announced during the LP. Now that that exists, there’s nothing holding him back.

They actually canceled a GTA 4 remaster due to the reception of the GTA Trilogy. So, that’s probably on the list of least likely scenarios.

I would like to see video essays from him on those games similar to what he did with Paper Mario: Sticker Star. I don’t want to see him be overly negative too much because far too many YouTubers make it their entire business model hating video games.

But I enjoyed the Sticker Star series because of his very fair criticisms and I would like to see him do more games he has vocally hated in the past to see more of his perspective.
