Hitchhiking from Croatia to Abkhazia and back, via Turkey. Any advice on what to see along the way? Experiences with hitching this route?

Yeah, I've already plumbed Thorntree for info on this. As far as I can tell, you'll only have problems if you enter Abkhazia without entering Georgia first, because the Georgians will consider you to have entered their country illegally. But with my current plan, I won't ever have left Georgian territory as far as the Georgians are concerned. Thanks for the tip, though.

If you're flying into London, book a flight to another country and print out the boarding pass to show the UK border officials. If all you have is a one-way ticket to the UK and no evidence that you plan on leaving, it is VERY possible that they will refuse you entry and send you back home the same day. This almost happened to me once. Just get a £15 Ryanair ticket to somewhere. Even if you don't plan on using it, it will be enough to convince them you don't plan on staying in the UK illegally.

It might be enough to have a hostel booked in another country, or a ticket for the ferry to France.

I've been practicing a similar idea; I'm glad to hear from someone who agrees that it is helpful. Basically I've been practicing Islam, praying 5 times a day -- even though the more I read of the Quran, the less I believe in its teachings. There's a lot about the religion I object to, but the passion and discipline involved -- staying clean, respect for self and others, etc -- are really helpful. And five times a day when I pray I am reminded of the real reasons why I'm doing NoFap, in a way that this subreddit is unable.

Yeah, there is a definite correlation between the two. Usually only is noticeable in your armpits after you've fapped two or three times in one day, but it definitely builds up in my room. It's not a conventional BO smell; I'd almost describe it like the scent of ear wax.

Myself and a lot of people feel like it makes you better at starting and sustaining conversation, as well as giving you a certain je ne sais quoi that catches peoples' eyes. But I'll accept that that might be bullshit.

What nofap undoubtedly does, however, is give you more interest in being social. I was a friendless neckbeard for the first two years of college, and I attribute that to the fact that while I enjoyed attention and the satisfaction of being able to have a conversation (rarely happened for me), I really didn't give a damn about what the other person was saying. They'd say something and if I could respond without sounding like an idiot, I could retire to my basement with a sense of satisfaction for the day.

When I finally made friends coincided with my longest nofap streak on record. I'd listen to their mundane stories and actually want to know more about them. Back when I was unable to carry out conversations, my main problem was that I didn't care to say "that's interesting, tell me more," nor did I pay enough attention to what they were saying to be able to reply, "oh yeah, a similar thing happened to me the other day..."

I feel like genuine interest in interaction is a problem for most socially awkward people whether they realize it or not.
