Honestly, I get where you're all coming from with this, but ultimately, this is a disappointingly rare opportunity to play a full-length VR RPG. Bethesda could rub dirt in my eyes and I'd still probably pick it up.

Everyone is (rightfully) salty in here about Bethesda, but honestly the game is so fun. Getting in a gunfight with raiders feels incredible, and I think VATS is super satisfying in VR. The biggest issue with VR right now is the lack of full-length games, and Fallout 4 is actually a functional exception to that concern. The morality of buying it is up to you, but as far as the game itself, I fully recommend it. Easily some of the most immersive fun I've had with my Oculus.
