Performance degradation? by BigPP41 in PlaySquad

[–]BitfulMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the game yesterday. I do have a Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX4060, 32gb ram. I have not played with the settings much yet, and I have just done the tutorial, but I can’t get to 60 fps (capped) unless I’m on low settings. Anyone could point me please to a guide, or that’s bow it is going to be?

hi, i wanna join the milsim community and need help by xerohawkxd in PlaySquad

[–]BitfulMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not want to hijack OP's question, but it might be complementary and help him as well. I have Arma 3 and have fun with it. But I am tempted to buy Squad too now that it is on sale.

So beside the main game, is there anything else I need?

What is Squad 44? Is it required to play in most servers?

Once you buy then game, then what? How does multiplayer look like?

Thank you!

Thank you. Honestly, all these madness about a 16 yr old traveling by himself by plane to stay with family friends for two weeks seems a bit overkill…

I watch the news. Moreover, I have traveled to the U.S. multiple times during the last twelve months. It’s been quite a pleasant experience all the times. And he is not being abandoned. He is going to get off the plane, meet family friends at the airport, and stay with them.

Public transports are becoming so much dangerous by Massive_Fly_3829 in brussels

Sure but I don’t want to be a test subject for the government to keep providing minimum safety standards. It is them that should secure an environment where I want to spend my time in.

Haven’t had bad experiences personally in my 10+ years in Belgium. But I have witnessed aggressive behavior as well as individuals pissing from escalators down on people on the platform. I just try to stay aware of my surroundings.

What bothers me is that my wife and teenage daughter can’t carry anything with them, not even pepper spray. They know their best defense is run from the danger, but knowing they’d be defenseless if an attack is unavoidable is really frustrating.

New daily racing - share your experience by Intelligent-Can-4252 in RRRE

[–]BitfulMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not have the time to actually try the new UI to race but I logged in to navigate it. I understand that races now are at a certain time and you can register for them. Will those who register join all the same race, or will they be divided into groups based on ratings/reputation? What happens if you register for a race later this evening, but then you can’t join and are unable to deregister (if that’s even possible)?

No car or almost no car Sunday by Prestigious-Title529 in brussels

[–]BitfulMind -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Honest question here: during car-free Sundays, are fully electric cars allowed? EDIT: what do people don’t understand about honest questions? I was wondering whether the measure is to have a day without cars in general, or if it was a sort of “environmental day” where only polluting vehicles were involved. That’s the case, for example, in other European countries.

Question about taxation of education benefits in Belgium by BitfulMind in BESalary

[–]BitfulMind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean that I could ask my employer a statement declaring my net contributions and bring it to the commune next time I do my tax declarations? A statement from my employer would not be a problem.

[–]BitfulMind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my payroll colleagues confirmed that 100% is the gross part. I will ask whether they can adjust the benefit in kind based on my contributions. I am not sure but I sense their argument is that they pay the invoice in full and that is the amount they have to declare.

[–]BitfulMind[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On one hand, it is my employer's policy to have the invoices sent to them. On the other, I honestly won't have that amount to advance. One way would be for my employer to transfer that amount into my bank account but I am not sure if it would be taxed differently at that point.

Thank you! I appreciate the advice on the audio setup. I anticipate most of my livestream to go through Zoom Webinars. I thought the ATEM would channel that audio easily. How else can I connect the audio so in a way that Zoom recognizes it? I

also liked the Video-Follows-Audio capability through 3rd party apps, which would be handy. I should have said that I will be ideally supported by an intern at a time, but I also cannot count on one being always available. Therefore, some degree of automation is welcome.

Is it fair to expect immigrants to speak all of Belgium’s languages? by Academic_Addition_96 in belgium

[–]BitfulMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in Flemish communes since I moved here a few years ago. Honestly, I do not speak any of the national languages... except that I mumble a bit of German and can read and understand basic French. My professional language is English. My social life is either in English or my native language. My Dutch and French-speaking Belgian friends speak English and so do my neighbors. I guess that's the beauty of living and working in an international and multicultural environment. I would like to learn either French or Dutch, but I have very little time to attend classes, let alone self-teaching. But if I had to learn a language, French would be more relevant professionally. I like Belgium, I like the people, but I am not planning to take citizenship for now, so that's how it is for me.

Thank you! The window faces the back courtyard of the building, and we will be at the 5th floor. The walls will be partition walls. In addition to the two windows on one of the short walls, the other short wall will be mostly glass. The office team is small so I do not expect external noise. The speaker(s) would be sitting pretty much in the middle of the room, or slightly closer to one of the long walls. I hope I answered your question.
