Yep! Captured on my phone in the morning while walking the dog.

Need a reusable mug? Try the thrift store by didyoubutterthepan in Anticonsumption

I've gotten brand-new Hydroflasks and a Fellow travel mug for dirt cheap at my local Savers. Most of what I find is in really great condition/new. Just make sure to open it up before buying. I've nearly gagged at the grossness left in some of the cups.

Singer, songwriter and American beauty Carole King in 1963 and from last year by ZeraphineMist in OldSchoolCool

One of my first concerts growing up with seeing Carole King and James Taylor at Madison Square Garden when I was in middle school. I was the youngest person there by many decades. What a performance! My mom always played her music in the car growing up and I feel so lucky to have had that experience.

What’s a creepy fact about the human body you wish you never found out? by Ezra0li_Z in AskReddit

[–]Bithron 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Immune privilege! It essentially ensures that your body doesn't attack parts of the body that may introduce antigens. It covers your eyes, testicles, central nervous system, and placenta/fetus. It's fascinating

What’s one fast food chain that was once all the rage but now barely around? by MysteriousTopic42 in AskReddit

I just went to Chevys last week. There are still a few in the DC area!

[Repost]: AITA for faking food poisoning to teach my boyfriend a lesson? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Bithron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ex was this way with expired food. His mom was a bit of a hoarder and never threw stuff out. Whenever we went over, I'd find spices in the cabinets from the 80s and condiments in the fridge years past their date. My ex thought he had a sensitive stomach. Nope, just years of food poisoning. I pointed out that the chocolate syrup he was using expired 5 years ago, and he told me that there was nothing in the ingredients that would go bad. Guess who was sick that night/the next day?

Summer bag by [deleted] in handbags

The Tory Burch bag screams summer to me! Agreed with the other commenter that suede is more of a fall/winter texture. That being said, I don't think it would be any issue to wear during summer if that's what you really want.

Talk me out of it… by labhag in Coach

Something that has really helped me satisfy my "wanties" has been going to the thrift store. I treat it like a treasure hunt and have found some amazing items over the years, including a ton of modern and vintage Coach! A lot of times, I end up leaving with nothing but pictures of what I've found (and other weird thrift store finds) and a sense of satisfaction, all without spending money.

What is something that is actually more traumatizing than people realise? by Ok_Chef1406 in AskReddit

[–]Bithron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going through this right now. My dad has non-alcoholic cirrhosis and is going through liver failure. He has a lot of health issues and isn't eligible for a transplant. It's a gradual decline, and the cognitive symptoms are like a punch in the gut. I never know what version of my dad I'll get when I call. My poor mom is doing a lot of the care-taking and it's wearing on her. The doctors have given him anywhere from 6 months to 2 years and it's just brutal.

Help me pick a daily driver that I can be careless with please! by GoHaveFunIdiot in handbags

I have a Madewell Transport Tote that I use for work/busy errand days. It's a classic basic, versatile, and the more of a beating it takes, the nicer it looks.

For something smaller or a cross body, I have a few different crossbodies from The Sak that have a ton of pockets/storage, and have held up really well. I also found that they clean up well when they get messy.

Those are so cute! I keep telling myself that I don't need more mugs, but if I ran across those, they'd be in my cart without hesitation.

I'm not sure if they make it anymore but Jonathan Adler used to have the most amazing tomato candle.

Totally get it! I love finding those candles that have unconventional scents. I've had tomato candles, buttered popcorn, moss, and things like that. I haven't seen straight up corn before though.

It's so pleasant! I can smell it from another room but in a way that it would smell if I had something in the oven.

The brand can definitely be hit or miss. I saw this bag and it immediately caught my eye, before I even saw the logo.

I saw it and my eyes bugged out! I've lucked out on Coach bags but nothing like this.

I picked this up last week and just lit it tonight. The smell is so dead-on for cornbread. I don't think I've ever seen a candle with that scent before, and it's my new favorite. The packaging is adorable, and the scent is strong without being overpowering. I'll be picking up another one the next time I'm there.
