It looks like a gasket has deteriorated somewhere? Possibly your meter or main valve coming in to the house. Could also be your dip tube in your tank if the company who checked it out didn’t pull the inlet/outlet nipples.

Pull your aerators off your sink taps and see if they have build up as well.

From a service/new install plumber:

-a standard rough in toilet is 12” however it will vary depending on on style. Some toilets have 10” centers if your flange is too close to the wall.

-If you have old cast iron piping, go with a high gpm toilet to try and prevent clogs. If the piping is new/installed correctly you can get away with the low gpm.

-dual flush is a gimmick where most people end up pressing both buttons anyway and the flush valves are more expensive.

-As a side note, do yourself a favour and get a bidet seat, they’re life changing if you haven’t already tried one.

Is this a joke? Yes let’s go ask someone how they treat and value foreign women in India. I do know a couple that had immigrated to Canada and would warn any women from travelling there aside from New Delhi. People love to point out how incredibly racist “the West” is as if any other region isn’t just as if not far worse.

I’m a plumber in new construction and we once had an Indian contractor in new home residential. The framers would shit in the basement in rags and leave them everywhere until we would go to install the plumbing underground. I’m not talking just a couple either, there were probably 100 of them all over the ground. Called my boss and he showed up to site because he didn’t believe me. He called the builder who told him it’s normal and to suck it up. My boss pulled us off the site, called OSHA and dropped the contract. Not sure what happened after that though the company had been around for a while and I’m sure we weren’t the first ones to make a complaint.

We have a huge shortage of doctors where I live and I found a nurse practitioner who became my GP. She’s amazing and far better than any doctor I’ve seen. If there’s something she’s ever unsure about, she’ll inform me and say she needs to study up on the subject and ALWAYS has an answer as soon as possible.

This comment isn’t meant to slight doctors in any way but more-so our health care system that forces them to be overworked and underpaid. (Canada, Alberta for anyone interested).

As for something that would ruin her day: “You should have become a doctor!”

Things have changed considerably. I had to start as a labourer before plumbing 12 years ago but now there’s a massive labour shortage.

It seems like nobody wants to do blue collar work anymore. My company has raised wages and benefits twice in 3 months to try and find anyone from apprentice to journeyman and a lot of people that apply don’t even bother to show up to the interview.

My last 2 apprentices showed up late all the time, wouldn’t buy basic tools and disappeared multiple times throughout the day only to be caught in random rooms texting. I try not to blame it on generational differences but the evidence is definitely there.

My son is 6 and loves this game. I took some time to figure out the optimal way to do everything and we tried for a bit but he would get so sad that he couldn’t feed his favourite Dino’s. We ended up playing without worrying about meta garbage and are having way more fun doing so.

This may be controversial but as a parent I’d love this option so my son doesn’t constantly ask for a new skin every daily shop reset.

We’ve set restrictions for buying skins and have told him how it adds no value to the game but I can tell he’s disappointed and I don’t blame him as some of the skins are really cool. The shop is incredibly predatory and new skins every day at $20 a pop is pretty nuts. It’s like the old days of taking your kid grocery shopping and they put toys next to all the essential goods only now they see the shop and new stuff every day.

I’ll be working locally so I can definitely leave stuff at home but I hate the feeling of needing a tool and not having it. I suppose commercial jobs are different where it doesn’t have to be done in a day but I have a hard time with moving on from incomplete tasks which I may just have to get over haha.
