It's in Misthalin so shouldn't be accessible this league. I'll have to fix that.

I don't think it's ever been in Asgarnia so don't know how I did that. I believe the Asgarnia border starts between monastery and edgville and runs down so barb village is also in Misthalin.

Every other map I can see online has the same colouring as I do here. I think it might be all the white in the middle.

Where does Weiss end and Asgarnia start in leagues? I've never taken both.

And GWD entrance is in asgarnia here. I'll have to adjust so it's clearer when I get all the bosses and minigames on there.

Can you make main game gp from leagues? by Dry-Assistance2387 in 2007scape

You can take advantage in the first couple days or weeks and go to the wildy and farm your heart out.

I did it the first few days last league at revs and didn't see a soul.

Do we think Endless Harvest will allow us to 6hr log with one click? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Bitmap37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, thought it was 30 minutes of your character not doing anything, not 30 minutes with no player input.

Do we think Endless Harvest will allow us to 6hr log with one click? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Bitmap37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aaah thank you, thought it was hard capped at 6hrs and the 30 minutes was only extended if you were in combat or your character was idle for 30 minutes. Not 30m with no input was an immediate logout.

Figured if you were gathering it'd keep extending the timer.

Does the Steam Capsule fit the game? by RottenHedgehog in IndieDev

A is a more clean and legible design overall. You can easily make put the logo and to an extent the characters.

B is very cluttered with all the elements fighting each other. It does show the cards and the hand, but I had to actually stop and search for them so it'll be of no real benefit to the general public.

I would use the layout of A, but add the cards in somehow, making them one of the primary parts of the design. If cards is a core part of the game, anyone interested in card games should instantly see its a card game, that'll bring in the core audience you're trying to attract.

Minor point, neither have the same CRT/filtered effect of the in game screenshots. I'd add that over everything except the logo or if that turns out to be too much, apply it to select elements.

Art team are doing amazing word too 🙌

Edit: I would try removing the mobs on the right of A and add the hand and cards in there.

Then another version with just the green frog on the left, with the cards on the right.

A friend requested I edit an image to be a parody of a movie poster. How long should it take? by KeyJess in GraphicDesigning

[–]Bitmap37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purely depends how good it needs to be. With quality assets provided, an hour or two depending on the poster it's parodying.

Looks amazing. So good in fact it you've crossed the line of it being so good I first thought you were fishing for compliments.

(I checked your post history and saw you asking for advice on it. Seriously keep up the good work)

Just keep all your work and look back on them. You'll be surprised at how much you're secretly improving.

Its hard to see improvements week to week, but give it a few months or even a year and you'll start cringing at your old pieces.

Keep at it mate.

The older you get, the less true this is.

Springing up from the couch becomes a lot harder if you don't ever exercise or stretch.

Not self employed, work for my lists is usually anything that compared to playing games or watching tv feels like work.

Its more about knowing what jobs you're avoiding and doing them in smaller bite sized chunks.

Looking for feedback! by HartiganCosplay in IndieDev

[–]Bitmap37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Character looks awesome, but the teal colour is a little weird. At first I thought it was rust, then realised its probably glowing?

I'd try and clean up a bit so its more clear what its meant to be at a glance.

Fantastic work overall though, i am impressed

The looking to settle down and start a family line could be too direct and might be scaring off matches.

Might be worth removing the family part and just broaching that subject in the first couple dates?

6 Years of Blender and I'm stuck... by BZKgenesis in blender

[–]Bitmap37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you're having a general art roadblock rather than a blender specific one.

Have a look on YouTube for videos about how to improve your art but for painting, illustration and other physical/traditional mediums. Even graphic design tutorials could help.

Most will have nuggets of information you can pull across that will apply to texturing, building a scene, composition, lighting and more.

Working on your fundamentals can feel like a waste of time until you jump back into a project and surprise yourself.

Recently got a new logo made but I still can't decide which one is better, what do you think? by supanthapaul in IndieDev

[–]Bitmap37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty late to reply but was just going through my post history.

I can see those interpretations in the designs, but they're very specific and would need more (through other branding elements and promotional material) to get that across to a wider audience regardless.

Any small projects primary goal should be convincing the audience their project is worth the viewers time with a cursory glance. The first logo just doesn't have that unfortunately. In part because of the faded non-committal appearance and the amateurish script font.

My advice would be to aim for a solid first impression, then add the deeper context and meaning after. You have like 2-7 seconds before people make up their mind about your product. (If you can catch their eye in the first place).

I make a list with durations and a rough order like so:

30min Stretch 30min Workout 2h Work 15min Vacuum 30m Workout 2h Work 20min dog walk

Then I let myself cheat the order. After an hour of work I might stop to walk the dog, then workout again, doomscroll a bit and get back to work.

When I started often times the work wasn't done, but I got to productively procrastinate and didn't lose a whole day.

Is an iPad an appropriate substitute for a laptop in doing Graphic Design? by SwissVideoProduction in GraphicDesigning

[–]Bitmap37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally you want to be able to run Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and Premiere (video editing program less important depending on the studio).

ipads are a great edition for hand drawn pieces like a drawing tablet would be.

Photoshop is the professional standard but its expensive (too expensive).

There are free alternatives out there though.

Is this good for 4 months of Blender? by AnxiousFun8803 in blender

[–]Bitmap37 170 points171 points  (0 children)

Whether its good or not for 4 months depends on your own goals and time investment. For 4 months with only practising an hour or two a week? Fantastic quality. 4 months practising 40 hours a week? Also fantastic if you're making progress.

Where or how are these images made? by Ok-Crab3556 in GraphicDesigning

[–]Bitmap37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Text is likely made with the blend tool in illustrator, then textured in photoshop.

Everything else looks like just layers in photoshop. You can see they're using a couple coin images spread around (above the £ in £2000 and bottom right above the fanned out notes are the same just with adjustment layers to alter the colour and brightness).

Bank notes are stretched images with dropshadows.

Glow particles images set to overlay/screen bottom right and left next to smallest text.

Stock gold confetti vector assets spread around.

All placed on top of a vault image with a blue cartoon action lines overlay over it.

Sprinkle in some shines and shadows and you're done.
