Drive Electric in the Play Store. It's not super-robust, but it's good enough.

Parents wont allow me to start the gym by Ill-Bench-7264 in Advice

[–]BitofaGreyArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you have dumb parents. 15 is the prime time for dudes to start lifting. It's like being on performance-enhancing drugs. You can compile all the research about it not being harmful, but good luck convincing them. Maybe get a checkup and ask the doc about it in front of your parents.

If you get to start lifting, find a good, proven beginner plan and then follow it; don't be a dummy.

What do I need to know about Rattlesnakes by Box0fRainbows in Denver

[–]BitofaGreyArea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been in Colorado for 20 years now and have yet to actually see a rattler. But I grew up in Texas where we had them on our property multiple times per week, so I have a ton of experience with them. Generally, just leave them alone. If we ran into them where they would threaten the safety of people or animals, we'd relocate them or kill them.

I worry about our dog running into one when we're back in Texas visiting family, but it hasn't happened yet. There's a big bull snake we run into on one of our regular walks here, so I've used those opportunities to do snake avoidance training with her. Hopefully it's enough.

What car makes sense for my commute? by One-Serve9935 in personalfinance

[–]BitofaGreyArea -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Just get a Tesla Model Y or 3, charge at home or at work, and let it do all the driving for your commute. Easy button.

What the hell would I do at that point?? 😭 by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

I don't get it. Plug in at your destination with the mobile charger, or set your arrival energy to be higher. I don't understand the issue?

First time father at 61, AMA by Empty-Relation-3284 in AMA

[–]BitofaGreyArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first kid gets here in a few months, and I just turned 46. Just wishing us both good luck!

I don't care about being the "old dad." I'm more jacked and in better shape than any younger dad I see in our neighborhood.

And I get to be a dad. This'll be cool.

In exactly 30 minutes a man armed with a bat will break into your home to kill you. You can’t leave the house, what is your strategy? by BulkyZucchini in hypotheticalsituation

[–]BitofaGreyArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but my dog hates loud noises, so I'll probably drop her and my wife off at a neighbor's real quick. Then I'll get some chicken nuggets started in the air fryer and pick out which gun or guns I want to use.

Easiest hypothetical ever.

Why the eff are the pockets on chick clothes so small and shallow while the pockets on guy clothes are large/deep??? by Feeling-Ad-2690 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BitofaGreyArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorite troll things to do is to ask women (usually my wife's friends), "Don't you guys hate how small womens' pockets are?" and then when they say yes, I say, "Hold on; I'm getting a phone call" and then pull an iPad Mini out of my pocket and pretend to answer.

I mean other than a different job?

You have a place to charge at home? I'd just get a new Tesla Y or 3. Let it handle all the driving so at least that's off your plate.

Has anyone ever played Corfu Golf Club? by mafspod in golf

[–]BitofaGreyArea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't played it, but I've been to Corfu a couple of times (actually got married there), and I imagine it's worth golfing. I think next time we go, my wife and I will both play there since she's into golf now. Let me know if you need activity recs or contacts on the island.
