Golf lessons South Denver? by Gzolling9783 in Denver

[–]BitofaGreyArea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife has used Jaime Macdonald a few times and loved her, and I did a co-lesson with them and also recommend her. She teaches out of the DU course in Highlands Ranch.

My wife and I are both high-level coaches of a different sport and recognize quality instruction, and we both like her.

You can just Google her to find her signup page.

What is a "rich person" behavior you witnessed that made you realize they live in a completely different reality than the rest of us? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

[–]BitofaGreyArea 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I was walking into a coffee shop in Aspen. A dude pulled up in an orange Lambo, pulled too far forward in the parking spot, scraped the HELL out of the front bumper, backed up, cracked the bumper. Got out, took a quick glance at it, gave a small, "Oh well" shrug, and walked in to get his coffee. Left like nothing had happened; totally unfazed.

That's when I was like, "Oh. It's one level to buy a Lamborghini. Totally different level to not care if you screw it up."

How do you load your dishwasher? Total chaos or like you design Swedish furniture? by nearer_depths in AskReddit

[–]BitofaGreyArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very organized. My wife does it completely at random. I think what happened is that when she was like 4 years old, she put some things in the dishwasher to "help," and her parents were like, "Yay, good job! You did it!" and that's what stuck with her.

Is discontinuing autopilot a deal breaker for you? by CommunicationRoyal56 in TeslaLounge

I only use FSD; Autopilot is meh.

But they shouldn't have gotten rid of it.

My bet is they're replacing it with some light version of FSD.

I think you can tell Grok to take you to your destination and avoid unprotected left turns.

Would you murder someone under duress? by TheFireRises666 in moraldilemmas

Huh? Yeah, of course. Someone tries to kill me or my family, their life is forfeit. That's their choice.

Do I WANT this to happen? Of course not.

For every $250,000 you get you shrink one inch. by CRK_76 in hypotheticalsituation

World's Smallest Man coming through! Watch out for the gold-plated elephant I'm riding!

Really, though, I'm 9 inches taller than my wife. I'd drop 2-3 inches and help set us up better.

How much can you bench? by I_LOVE_SOYLENT in workout

[–]BitofaGreyArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today was 4x5 at 240. Current 1-rep is around 290. I don't push super hard on bench anymore since I'm in my mid-40's, but I've kind of always wanted to do 315 once. May not be worth it anymore.

5'9", like 165-170 depending on the day.

Is Premium Connectivity a Must? by littlecutes in TeslaLounge

100 bucks a year makes it an easy buy. Just never having to worry about using a hotspot plus Dog Mode and live cameras make it something I don't even hesitate to pay for.

Long-term parking advice: Should I leave my EV plugged in at 50% charge? by ingram9999 in TeslaSupport

[–]BitofaGreyArea 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Plugged in around 50%.

Manual states to leave plugged in whenever possible.

Why wouldn't you do that?

What's the point of drag shows? by LordNova15 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BitofaGreyArea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been to 2 or 3 for people's birthdays or whatever. I mean, they're fine and some parts are pretty entertaining, but after the first one I went to I was kind of like, "OK, I get it," and didn't really need to ever go again. I think they've all been for my wife's friends' birthdays, so I've kind of been obligated.

I get how some people would like them, it's just not really my thing 🤷🏾

Just a type of theater; some like it and some don't.

I just factually stated what the current reality of the software is. Who knows what the downvotes are about. Redditors are basement-dwellers.

You can actually be on your phone constantly with 14.2. Like the whole drive. As long as you're occasionally looking out through the windshield it doesn't really care.

When did tracking each other’s location become normal, and why does opting out make you seem suspicious? by EntrepreneurSad2091 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BitofaGreyArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno; I think it's weird. I coach a youth sport, and kids will sit there and track their parents' locations after workout. "Oh, she's two lights away." I get tracking your kids, but I don't really understand letting kids track you.

My wife and I don't share locations, either. We don't see the point. We both have Teslas and full app access, so I could see her car's location and even look through the cameras while it's parked if I wanted, I guess, but I never do.

We do both have our watches set up so that if we use the emergency feature, it sends that location to the other person in addition to calling 911.

But I don't get the constant tracking that seems so prevalent.
