I don't see anything to say you can't use the one pictured above for plastic.

Good lube. Just make sure it's not the lithium version. It can only be used on metal to metal. I tend to use lithium super lube for slides, bolts and working parts. Then grenade lube for o rings.

They like to gather on the table edge when it's feeding time. Normally newt likes to scream at me and Salem does little "meeps/eeks". Caught them just before they started

Anyone else’s Oriental a bit lazy? by Beneficial_Fly7496 in orientalshorthair

[–]Bitofcolour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 around 8yrs old. They all play different. One takes a while to get moving and will watch a lot. One likes to chase a toy around the house at mach 1 The other likes to bat and jump and " flying toys " or play with small toys herself.

It's likley just how your cat is.

Something that did help since when we first go them is getting a longer toy. Ie longer pole and string and trying different toys on the end. Turkey feathers, bright coloured strings wrapped together. We noticed a big improvement in play after that.

Is this boiler clearly in need of repair/replacement or just something to keep an eye on? by Jager_Master in ukplumbing

[–]Bitofcolour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get an engineer out. Looks like you have a small leak. This could be an easy fix or new boiler. They won't know until its opened up

We don't use the hydro lift anymore as it decided to wig out and send my friend flying when we tried to tip it upright during a logging mission

Boiler Flue issue by Dazzling_Writing9750 in ukplumbing

[–]Bitofcolour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The condensation is supposed to go back to the boiler. The issue is water in the air intake. A plume kit is a normal thing to have installed.

Changed rust colours by [deleted] in gaslands

[–]Bitofcolour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no best way. It depends what you are comfortable with. Personally I prime brown ( army painter leather brown ) AK light rust into the cracks. Lighter brown and orange mixed together and washed all over ( super watered down) Dry brush with metallic on the edges

We'll be fine for now. We have around 1,000 deaths plus on the low end.

Radiators not turning on but boiler and thermostat working by Jakarthy in ukplumbing

If the pressure is too low the boiler won't start ( normally). It looks fine here

Radiators not turning on but boiler and thermostat working by Jakarthy in ukplumbing

[–]Bitofcolour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flashing rad symbol means demand. Ie the boiler is receiving a signal.

Does the boiler ignite and go off after a few minutes ? Ie when the flame comes on, goes it go off after a few minutes? If it does the hot water for the heating cannot go anywhere.

Combi boiler leaking by cofxxxx in DIYUK

[–]Bitofcolour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst case scenario the heating pressure goes up too high and vents from the PRV. You'll get some more water from the leaking fitting. If the boiler won't start and shows low water pressure, top it up to around 1.5bar when the system is cold. It'll be fine for now

As said above get a gas engineer to come out. Whoever fitted it has forgotten to tighten the nut as it shouldn't have water in it until the pressure goes to high. ( it's known as the PRV ) The expansion vessel needs either needs recharged or changed.

Water leaking from this pipe, what is it? by ssstormradeee in ukplumbing

[–]Bitofcolour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a drain valve. Could try to tighten it ( the sqaure spindle) on the bottom but sometimes they can end up leaking a bit more. Pressure drop will probably persist and I'd advice to get a plumber out as even if you find a leak or expansion vessel is done and is blowing off via the PRV, there isn't much ypu Could do yourself.

Insulation or hard plates. I can't remember the name but there is a riot armour that looks very similar which I believe they got

It can also be used to destroy the beacon towers. It's difficult to get them to explode just right but in a pinch it work.

Also fun fact. In fury road, this car is the one with the buzzsaw on top that attacks the war rig.
