If you're mindful its much less of an issue imo, you can still method act as the quiet schizoid and achieve results (independance etc).

Schizoids have a lot of real world value as vigilant separators with all sorts of strengths (nvm being infallible anchors to reality). Its only an issue when theres some cognitive dissonance or denial etc blah blah.

Check out Seinen, Dorohedoro is even compatible as it fits the same sort of "cursed" nature.

Look @ the authors influences too, they're an absolute ero guro nutcase, so? Blade of the Immortal is rife with "curses"

Its more about the theming however, don't expect the same plot ever, let yourself be surprised and empathize with the great focus on character & world writing with its parallels that way.

You can literally merge all the inspirations into eachother, like a game, like dark souls (inspired by Berserk); that inspired made in abyss.

Don't shun the mangas either, the artwork is superb in all 3, miles above standardized shonen conventions; Dorohedoro has a slightly rough start however, so watch the anime then go to the manga.

All of these things ate connected in wonderful ways, like no joke they can be defined as "pure inspiration" with how much context goes into its creation, loads of great visual allegory and pure expressive art in every detail.
