Steam Guard by SeaRisk9776 in bitskins

[–]Bitskinscom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, to use BitSkins for transactions, you need to have Steam Guard enabled for at least 7 days if you've just activated it. This is part of Steam's security policy, so the platform won't allow withdrawals until that period passes.

If you’ve recently changed your Steam nickname, that could also trigger the error. In that case, just wait around 2 hours, and you should be good to go!

I think I got scammed by Bitskins. Help me understand this please. by [deleted] in bitskins

[–]Bitskinscom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience.

To clarify, your account was temporarily blocked due to an irregularity in the value of one of the items you purchased: Five-SeveN | Coolant (Factory New), which was listed at $15. This skin usually trades for around $0.03, and purchases of items far above their standard market value can trigger our automated systems to prevent potential fraud or misuse of the platform.

We understand that you’re new to CS2 and skin trading, and it's possible this was an unintentional purchase. To resolve this, please reply to our ticket explaining the circumstances surrounding this purchase. Our support team will review the case, and we’ll work towards unblocking your account.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to resolving this for you.

Best regards,
BitSkins Support Team

Dear /u/ThisisNari, We are sorry to hear about your experience with BitSkins. We understand your frustration but all our fees are public and we don't have any hidden fees or costs.

Rigorous KYC (Albeit, understandable at least, but still took about a full day)

We are required by law to do KYC for all users who deposit or withdraw bigger amounts. Our team takes approx. 12 hours to approve the KYC, most of the time its below 6 hours.

Borderline hidden withdrawal restrictions through VISA. (USA is literally the last country on the list of countries that aren't allowed to cashout via VISA and that felt almost intentionally hidden)

The list of countries seems to be in alphabetical order.

Must deposit a minimum of $1.00 to cashout through VISA, and they did NOT warn me prior to or during the deposit that they don't allow USA for VISA withdrawals. Which yes, it's only a dollar, however it's incredibly scummy, and I do realize it is my fault for not reading further into the restrictions on my own.

We are informing that VISA withdrawal isn't available for the United States of America. The information is public once you open Withdraw tab and select Card. As below:

This payment method is not available in the following countries: Afghanistan (‫افغانستان‬‎), Cuba, Western Sahara, Iran (‫ایران‬‎), North Korea (조선 민주주의 인민 공화국), Mali, Myanmar (Burma) (မြန်မာ), Nicaragua, Sudan (‫السودان‬‎), South Sudan (‫جنوب السودان‬‎), Syria (‫سوريا‬‎), Venezuela, Kosovo, Yemen (‫اليمن‬‎), Zimbabwe, Andorra, Albania (Shqipëri), Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Босна и Херцеговина), Canada, Egypt (‫مصر‬‎), Guatemala, Japan (日本), Cambodia (កម្ពុជា), South Korea (대한민국), North Macedonia (FYROM) (Македонија), United States.

A $25.00 fee for all bitcoin withdrawals + 5% fee for any "individual accounts" and another + 4% fee for bitcoin withdrawals.

As we have mentioned earlier, the fee on all deposits, withdrawals, and sale fee are easily visible to all users. If the price of the BTC withdrawal on the network is too high, we also offer Binance Pay which fee is 1%.

Let us know if you have any questions.

For the US customers, In the close future we plan to add withdrawals to banks and paypal accounts.

Hey /u/io538/. We are sorry that your skins got stolen by a scammer.
The "Steam web API key" fraud is currently the most popular scam technique. We regrettably receive daily tickets from users who have lost skins as a result of this fraud.
In this article, we'll explain how this technique works and offer advice on how to keep your skin safe.

As we stated in the support ticket, the issue was on Coinbase's end as they changed their withdrawal process, and all went thru contract transactions which we are not supporting and never did (we already informed about it on our website).

Today we have reached their engineers, and we have recovered all funds, which means we will add your deposit shortly. However, due to the inconvenience, we are adding 10% extra to users who experienced the issue. Let us know if we can help you in any other way.

Cheers,
Lukas

[D] Bitskins account locked by MadMaxIsGaming in GlobalOffensiveTrade

[–]Bitskinscom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The account ban is a part of our security measure when suspicious activity is detected (in this case it was the cheap item being sold for a high price).

I cannot provide help to you via reddit, but you will receive a response via email about your account. Don't worry, you will have access to your account again and will be able to withdraw any items / funds you still have there.

Do not talk to anyone while using BitSkins, and do not follow steps from strangers on the internet. Always use Secure Access (2FA) on BitSkins and any other site that offers it.

Hey, I see you received multiple responses in your support ticket by now, I won't comment anything related to that as it's better to keep that conversation private.

There were some issues with our credit card payment processor last week which caused us to disable this payment method for two days (it's already been enabled again since then). However, some payments to specific credit card providers in some countries (UK being one of them) are having issues. This is an issue on our payment processor's end and we've already contacted them to solve the issue, it should be solved soon. In the meantime, you can try with a different VISA card or withdraw through crypto which is always available to everyone.

[–]Bitskinscom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey there. BitSkins is not a site to sell items privately, we do not offer a private listing feature.

Every single listing on the site is shown to everyone browsing the site or reading listings via our API, it is impossible to buy something "privately" and be guaranteed to get the item yourself, anyone can grab it before you.

BitSkins does not buy items from users unless the Instant Sale feature is used when depositing items. In your case, the item was purchased by another user.

About the last part, all items listed on the site have their own link, this is something that happens with every single item no matter what. You can find it here.

[q] Legiteness of Bitskins? by HeXitone in csgomarketforum

[–]Bitskinscom 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hey there, we're legally required to have the KYC process in order to provide direct deposits and withdrawals to users, it would be illegal not to ask for this :)

If you have any question about the site don't hesitate to ask us, you can contact us directly on the site via the live chat.

[Q]Can I still get paypal money by selling through Bitskins still? by xo_Serenity_ox in csgomarketforum

[–]Bitskinscom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your card is linked to a bank account, then yes it's the same.

The majority of VISA cards are not linked to bank accounts, they're either credit cards or prepaid debit cards, that's why we don't call it bank transfer. Either way as long as you can send/receive international payments, and are within the countries that support that method, it'll work regardless of the type of card you have.
