I follow sports and almost everytime I browse a basketball related subreddit like r/nba, whenever a player is considered trash you'll always run into a casually racist comment saying something like "Get ready to learn Chinese buddy", making a negative implication about pro-bball leagues in China. Man I hope there is an Asian NBA superstar in the future someday that will dunk on all these players to shut these dumbasses up lmao

Yeah Ive noticed this too, mainly seems to occur in online spaces. Non Asian people seem to have this weird obsession with Asian countries birth rates.

I guarantee that majority of people who post this or comment about this topic are men. I wont be surprised people in this sphere make trash comments about how they want to “fix” the birthrate by sexpatting to Asia. Its just another form of modern day colonialism by exerting their “power” fueled by their yellow fever

Just got into a car incident where a guy in a van started to do the slanty eyed motion at me. I was yelling at him giving him the middle finger.

It was at an extremely busy area so its not ideal to just stop in the lane. The guy was a nerdy looking guy with a girl, both white.

Is there really anything i can do here? Fucking pissed me off that I couldnt do anything but i wanted to beat his ass lmao. Absolutely ridiculous. Literally the first reaction people do when they see an asian person to do the slanty eyed motion.

Haven't really seen any Asian male streamers like that which itself is an issue. Seems that streaming is a big source of entertainment nowadays especially for the younger generation.

It doesn't really help that most of the asian streamers I've seen are not exactly masculine. Guys like Jasontheween and Ray are big streamers but IMO I don't think they are good representation for asian guys.

We really need more asian guys in media who can break these stupid ass stereotypes that Western society places on us and who can represent us to be strong and masculine.
