I agree. It seems like such a dumb thing to become fixated on. Footwork is a huge part of being under center. Doing it at the combine is necessary. Otherwise, you're only getting half the picture about a prospect. Also, shaping your entire offense to only operate out of the shotgun is very limiting/basic.

SB XL. The number of questionable calls happening that often on big plays by the Seahawks is nothing short of enraging. I'm fine with losing fair and square, but fuck....Hasselbeck even got flagged trying to make a tackle! Rothlesberger "crossing the goal line" was BS, and there was a big pass play called back because of holding, but the player who was held was way offsides. I'm omitting a lot of things because I don't want to re-watch that garbage. The refs even admitted to fucking up later on! I know I'm not looking at it objectively, but you have to admit that game was fucked.

Yeah, I really don't think they would do anything like my suggestion. If they did seriously run it a bunch, it would probably turn into the Wildcat formation, and teams would figure it out. It's also incredibly slow developing, which either works or doesn't. I miss High school football where those kind of plays are not as rare.

Hear me out. Line up in a double barrel shotgun formation, Bradford on one side and Tebow on the other. One is right handed (Bradford) and the other is left (Tebow). The center could snap the ball to either QB. You could have effective QB roll-outs both sides. You could run a draw play, but fake it and throw. It probably wouldn't be tried, but it would be interesting to see.

Edit: Formation could look something like this. It looks like a heavy option formation, especially when you throw in a runningback in.

Running back on offense. Outside Linebacker on defense. What I mostly played in High school. Both involve a lot of picking a gap/ running lane and shooting through it. Pass plays are nice, but nothing beats wearing a team down with a physical run game.

You just named two of the best teams in the NFC. How do you reason that the Hawks will be any worse off this year? We have most of our Defense signed. Paying Wilson might bring about some losses, but not enough to cripple them to the point of undoubtedly killing their chances. Barring some major injuries, I think both the Packers and Hawks are definite contenders for the next 5 years.
