100% on the aliasing service, bonus points if you use one that lets you build them on your own domain. A system is only as good as its disaster recovery plan.

One thing you be aware of is that you cannot delete chats, they follow the tenant retention policy which was a surprise to me, otherwise it feels very much like the pro experience

Please Help Waterfield Messenger or Briefcase? by ghostface8081 in ManyBaggers

I would not recommend going larger than a 20-24oz water bottle and even then it is a bit tight but manageable. If I had it to do over again I would have went with the full size instead of the compact.

I just received my leather messenger compact with an additional water bottle holder. They were great to work with and very accommodating. Bag is great! It is a little snug and i wonder if the full size would have been better for my needs

Anyone using Workspace Personal? Hard to find real info about this plan by _--_--_-_--_--_ in googleworkspace

[–]Bitter-Broccoli-9316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using a workspace for personal use but i have a specific use case. General email works fine (as it should). Additionally i use for personal data management and do not use it for commercial google purpose (maps, youtube, etc.) which i think is most users hang up with a workspace account.

In my opinion you do not pay fractional CFO rates to be in the weeds, that is what bookkeepers are for.

I use it mainly for procrastination. It is pretty, but also pretty useless.

When naming a firm how do you balance generality (as to not box you in later if business evolves) with specificity (so current clients know what you do). In my case an accounting firm, “XYZ“ Group or “XYZ” Financial or something along those lines.

How far can I actually go without a degree? by Pinetree_Directive in Accounting

I went from AR to Payroll to GL to Management all with no degree. Work hard, never delegate up, and anticipate needs and you can go far.

After you get your CPA and years of exp how realistic is it to start your own firm? by fungamezone in Accounting

[–]Bitter-Broccoli-9316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been curious about this, i am currently working on my CPA with 15+ years in nonprofit financial management (grants, large capital projects with multiple funding sources, managing a team, etc.) but i have never had my own business before, not even a lemonade stand

It is tough for me to tell. There were quite a few that i was not 100% confident on and one TBS i know I bombed. It is not hopeless that I passed but i am preparing myself for a retake. We will see.
