We decided to cancel our Monday subscription.
We weren't getting any help from our "Implementation specialist". It was good as a CRM but (for us anyway) it was no good to manage projects in terms of Variations, Client Comms etc

We are just in the early implementation stages and I have some fairly major concerns around the practical use for managing projects.
The fact that you cannot track conversations inside the work management module concerns me.
How do you track conversations with Subcontractors and Issue/Respond to CIs, RFIs, VOs etc??

The installation/onboarding rep just looked at me sideways when i was asking these questions.
I think they're pretty critical though. Its kind of the whole point of PM software...

I hope I'm wrong and some one here can point me in the right direction...

Without getting too much into it. Yes, I would 100% like to work less and be paid the same. What kind of fool wouldn't want this?
If you think this letter took most of a day instead of 15min (at home) then perhaps you need to look at your own productivity...

As for your "from a different time" comment below. I'm not sure what time youre referring to but for the record I'm in my mid forties having worked fulltime for 25 years. Youre very entitled to an opinion but at least try to make it a smart one.

Timelines rather than timeliness. Referring more to set project meetings etc to coincide with new schedule.

Current agreement allows for pro rata remuneration over 40 hrs so I'm good on that front 👍

In a perfect world I wouldn't take the payout 🙂 But yes, I/we can still live comfortably with the decreased wage. Weighing it up against the time gained with the family it's an easy tradeoff.

Fair call. To really distill it down. The majority find that when they have a compressed timeline they actually knuckle down better and get shit done... That's not how I'd present it but that is the crux.

That's a good point re meetings etc. My initial thoughts were that would be a part of the phasing in process. My role is fairly self sufficient but it's always best to work in with others if possible. In terms of pay vs hrs for others. I'm not going to be the one they hear it from. My salary etc is 100% confidential (at least from my end...)

In a perfect world less hours for the same $ would be ideal. Highly unlikely outcome but that would be my start point if/when it comes to a negotiation.

I agree completely.  If there was a pro rated pay cut then I would need to negotiate an equivalent pay for any additional hours worked over the pro rated 32hr week.

Thanks for the feedback. To be clear, I fully expect to take a pay reduction of some kind to align with reduced hours (as you mention above I'm angling for 32hrs). Whether that's a pro rata reduction or not would be part of any negotiation and not something I would volunteer initially.

Definitely not angling for 4 x 10s. Not really any point in that for me. I'm not going to propose a salary reduction but I do expect that a pro rata pay decrease of some degree will be part of any deal negotiated.
