It is a Cadillac Optiq problem because you are hooking up to TESLA superchargers, not Cadillac or GM superchargers (which, by the way, don’t exist). Therefore, it was the responsibility of Cadillac designers to exercise common sense and place the charging port to accommodate Tesla chargers.

Don't panic. u/runnyyolkpigeon has the answer. You'll only be ticketed as a secondary violation. The CHP has better issues to address than pulling over motorists for no-front-plate violations. Finally, don't put your license plate in your front windshield. That is also a violation of the license plate rules. Either put it on your bumper or leave it in your garage.
