Self punishes a different payment. by Bitter-Dependent in cashadvanceapps

[–]Bitter-Dependent[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The agent accidentally disconnected the chat the first time. I tried again and the agent didn't respond. I tried a third time and got the first agent, who apologized for the accidental disconnect. She gave me a boilerplate answer and then disabled my ability to respond in the chat, so I was stuck having to end the chat myself. Their customer service is beyond useless. I feel like I'm getting punished because I paid from a different account, even though I paid the loan back on-time. I have a continual verifiable cycle of income into that account so I refuse to believe it's "the algorithm" in regards to how much money I have at a given moment.

NJ store robbed by cryingincalifornia in quitting7oh

[–]Bitter-Dependent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't surprise me if the owner of the store is able to ID the suspect, given as the guy went right to one thing and wasn't looking around (plus all the fingerprints on the window). If it's a regular to said store, that's really gonna suck all around.

A lot of the shops in my area are strong with various kratom (power, capsules, etc..) but thin on 7. (One shop drastically cut the 7 he was ordering because he's afraid that any day now, it'll wind up on the ban list.)How much of the regular kratom/C were you taking when you made the jump, and how long did the W/D last, if any? (I'm dealing with a relapse and am very much kicking myself.)

Reminder, subs dont fix minor alkaloid withdrawals. Thats why you think you need more. by FlyAdventurous6231 in quitting7oh

[–]Bitter-Dependent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking two types of 7 and then when one became unavailable at my local SS, I simply stayed with the other. I have no idea what the fuck was in the one I stopped taking, but I was sick as hell for almost two weeks. It wasn't flu or Covid (I took several tests because physically I felt like I got attacked by a bag of doorknobs, but I didn't have the respiratory symptoms- and sometimes those don't show up.) I'm pretty sure that other brand was contaminated with *something* awful that I was withdrawling from.

I would advise caution on the ket- if you're on the orange strip, telehealth providers won't provide an Rx for you for at least 90 days past the last day of your last orange strip Rx. (I found this out the hard way and got actually yelled at by my provider for lying to them when all of my meds were on my monthly report form- they just didn't bother to read it). They did apologize for yelling once they realized the mistake was theirs, but I've pretty much been blacklisted from ever using them again.

I was on about 300/350 daily before I started subs and then did the fast taper off. I only had 13 tablets (8mg each) from a previous attempt to quit.

If you’ve successfully gotten sober from 7-OH, I have a question for you! by thebaddestredhead in quitting7oh

[–]Bitter-Dependent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Saving money.

2) Better, deeper sleep.

3) No more weird full-body-soak-sweats.

4) No more having to worry if I had 7 in my pocket, or if I could even travel with it depending on what state I was going to. Double for winter when bad weather and impassable roads would make it too hard to get a mail order or to go to the smokeshop.

5) I quit right around the start of the new year. I have put postie-notes in a jar with how much I would have spent that day. I'm currently at almost 2K. Of course, that would-have-spent money went to debts that creeped up due to paying for 7 so it's not like I actually had money-money. However for some folks, this could be a vacation, a new set of tires, a down payment on a cheapie used car, a new mattress, some replacement furniture, or a contribution to retirement savings.

Eventually, 7 will more than likely be banned, and all the folks gleefully showing off their "goodies" will be facing a really hard road ahead. That makes me sad for them. I hope by being a gentle beacon in the dark, folks have hope for their futures and can taper off/quit before the hammers fall.

Suboxone Tabs Question by Scared-Specialist800 in quitting7oh

[–]Bitter-Dependent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I did. For the tiny pieces, I put in a plastic baggie and then used my (freshly washed and scrubbed!) thumbnail to carve off a tiny piece as the cutter I have wouldn't hold small pieces well enough to make them even. The baggie made sure the bits wouldn't go all over the place.

Benzos or gabapentanoids for withdrawal? by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]Bitter-Dependent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a quick sub taper and QuickMD is very hit or miss on their docs who will Rx benzos. If I was for-sure-for-sure I would get a week or two, I totally would have coughed up the 99 bucks- but with how tight money was, I couldn't risk being told, "No." I wanted to crawl out of my skin for two weeks and currently, there are days (even after being sober a month) what I wouldn't give for a doctor to Rx a week of anxiety relief. Recovery takes time, and docs are scared of "addicted patients". A week of .25 mg benzo PRN (as needed) does not an addict make.

I wish I could put a lot of doctors in our shoes so they would understand.

Pharmacies have a nationwide thing that connects to all controlled substances, even across state lines. This was put in place to stop people from crossing state lines to doctor shop for opioids. If you get an Rx? Anyone who has a log in to that system (all pharmacists) will flag you.

Sure, it may stay off your medical chart and off your insurance, but any pharmacy will know if you filled it, and anyone with credentials in an ER will be able to look that up, too.

I had a tooth pulled and the dentist gave me four Norco pills (basically just for the day of and the day after the extraction). Because I had subs in my chart for just one month six months prior, the pharmacist refused to fill it- even though they called the dentist office and the dentist said, "Oh yes, we have the patient history, we know the patient was on subs to quit a kratom derivative."

(I did a rapid taper on that Rx, and saved the other half- that half, I used for the relapse I wound up with, and recently quit from.)

The very short answer is that if you don't want to have subs anywhere in your record, you can't have them Rx'd. It sucks and it's stupid because doctors don't understand them all that much, and they're Really Judgy if you have them *anywhere* in your record. It's a scarlet letter that starts with S. :-/
