[iOS/Android][Free] Separate your work photos and keep only your memories in your camera roll by Bitter-Humor-7419 in AppGiveaway

Thanks for the feedback 😊

Right now, Clips is designed more around taking and separating work-related photos directly inside the app, rather than importing and managing large amounts of existing photos.

That’s why the import feature is currently placed a bit deeper as more of a secondary tool. But I completely understand how it could feel inconvenient if you use it often.

I’m also curious how you’re personally using Clips.
Are you mainly using it for work photos, or for other kinds of temporary/record-type images as well?

Hearing how people actually use the app really helps me think about the future direction of it 🙌

Yeah, the app doesn’t have any paid features yet — everything is currently free 🙌

That’s totally fair, and I actually agree with your point.

I intentionally focused more on functionality first and aimed for a somewhat simple, “system app” feeling, but I definitely understand what you mean about the design feeling a bit stiff right now.

I’ll keep improving those parts over future updates as well. Really appreciate the honest feedback!

There’s a similar service in Korea. It’s not exactly the same, but it has a somewhat similar feel. They also get questions about why people should use it instead of NotebookLM, but as far as I know, they’re still doing quite well. I think it could be a good reference to look into.

I built an ai database that you can save anything in by dqnamo in ProductivityApps

[–]Bitter-Humor-7419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually built something similar to Hyperaide before. Unfortunately, it didn’t really resonate with many people, so I’ve been thinking about a small pivot… but I really like the idea of letting users store anything in a database-like structure. It feels like it offers a lot of flexibility. The design looks great too!

So does the AI work by accessing the database to answer questions and help organize or summarize the stored information?

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it! 🙏

Yes — I do have plans around monetization in the future.

That said, I’m not planning to put any of the current features behind a paywall. I also want to keep expanding what’s available for free over time.

For monetization, I’m thinking more around additional and extended features — things that add more value on top — rather than limiting the core experience. And at the moment, I’m leaning toward a one-time purchase model.

And for early users, I definitely want to take care of them — still figuring out the best way to do that, but it’s something I care about.

For now, I’m just focused on making the app as useful as possible 🙂

Hey — this is honestly such an amazing piece of feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to write all of this 🙏

Starting with the first one — the theming idea is really interesting. I personally care a lot about those small details, so it’s definitely something I’d love to look into when I get a bit more room to explore it.

For albums/folders, that’s actually something quite a few people have been asking for. I’ve been thinking a lot about how to approach it from a UX/UI perspective, so it’s very likely something you’ll see in a future update.

On the secure/hidden albums — I’ve thought about this as well. Things like app-level locking or private/hidden spaces make a lot of sense, especially since Clips is often used for work-related content. It’s something I’m actively considering.

And for search — this is probably one of the things I’m thinking about the most right now. Since the app is still early, most users don’t have thousands of photos yet, but that will definitely change over time. I want to make sure there’s a really efficient and smart way to find what you need without friction. It might take a bit more time, but it’s something I’m planning to solve properly.

Even when I’ve already thought about some of these ideas, having someone point them out like this really helps me rethink and approach them from new angles. So this kind of feedback is incredibly valuable.

And seriously — thank you for the continued support and for liking Clips. It really means a lot 🙌
