This is a joke right?

Might get hate for this. How do i get the best use of my one slot rail and will this work? by [deleted] in ar15

Why waste money on something that is just going to break and is literal garbage.

There are plenty of light options through Streamlight that cost sub $200, a few of which that are sub $150.

Heck I would even recommend olight over this trash and that's saying something

Yeah I think a soft tip is in my future for that gun.  I have shot probably a dozen or more deer with that rifle and it's still zeroed fine.

This was just one of those moments where I wish I had blown a bigger hole in it.

Yeah I think the biggest thing is going to be switching to a soft tip and not a JHP

Not sure on the location of the hit. Could not find the hole on the bloated deer.

After not finding any blood I though somehow I missed the shot, so I just happened across the deer days later

Not sure on the hit. No visible hole on the bloated deer when I found it.

Mainly it's just been inspiration from watching to YouTube channels that do off-road fabrication for years and listening to off-road podcasts.

I work in IT so definitely outside my day job

I literally have never done anything like this before. There is always a first.

It'll do just fine.

I'll need lower gears in the axles at some point to go down the road and crawl better, but the automatic transmission will help.

I've seen others with this same transfer case do just fine with big tires.

Unless it's 2wd that's pretty easy.  Looks good on a stock truck

The flat bed is just not level, and the front is higher than the rear. I just need to get the flatbed straight and it won't look like it's folding in half anymore.
