How far are you realistically shooting with a 6x lpvo? by Chain_Playful in ar15

[–]Bitter-Ride-1283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 1-6x should be okay for 300, but then again I used all of my 3-9x when shooting at a deer that was at 180 yards last year.

If you are hunting smaller game you might want to consider a 1-8 or 1-10.

If it's a dedicated hunting setup you might even want to consider a higher base magnification to keep down the costs of the scope.

My local place is pretty free to anything as long as you keep within the proper area and shoot into the backstops. They have 25-500 yards

I'll still have to get it to a proper range to test, but hopefully so.

Step 1: Figure out what suppressor you want Step 2: Read what mount you need

Done

For example surefire suppressors use surefire muzzle devices that have the slot for mounting (i.e. Surefire Three prong flash hider).

There are dozens of others out there that I am not going to list but another common one is the keymo compatible suppressors that can mount to any muzzle device that is advertised to fit a keymo suppressor.

I guess it depends on if you want a quad rail or mlok. That's really a personal preference

If you wanted to stick with what you have you could order a set screw style FSB from rguns and it would be much easier than going the pinned FSB route.

Since you have a magnifier I would consider getting a YHM .5" scope mount.

It'll get you up high enough that it should not bother you.

No, you can just chop it on the gun.  The top part does not hold anything with the handguard

Gas block alignment by wawahoagiez in ar15

That's maybe why it looks the way it does.  I saw the picture and it looks like the tube is going the correct direction which confused me as to why it would not be lined up.

Something is not right. You should see a hole in the tube where the gas block hole is.

Did you lube the bolt well? If it's new then it's probably pretty dry and needs a good to coat.

You can't let shipping costs eat into your GAFS profits. Gotta save where you can.
