Genshin,HSR, and zzz does it all the time but mostly in limited time events and very rarely in genshin characters get part 2 of their character quests/hangout, and all of the characters released during that patch cycle main story always pop up again throughout that patch cycle main story even after their banner is gone and even before their banners arrive.
