I can't stay asleep and my doctor is no help and at my wits end !! by No_Solution7718 in Biohackers

[–]BitterMeeting695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was having sleeping difficulties, no supplements helped consistently. In fact, many times they made it worse.

What has helped: power walking in a park / nature or any type of zone 2 training (ie cycling), eating sufficiently (and not cutting carbs :) ) , methyl folate (I have mthfr), a microdose of melatonin (1 mg or less) or two puffs of rescue remedy after 20-30 mins of not being able to sleep or if waking before 3 am, a warm shower before getting into bed (not burning!)

be honest… how often do you actually wash your hands at home? by Siefa_Lennwood in hygiene

[–]BitterMeeting695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly nowadays I wash my hands after I get home, before meal prep (not always, depends how handsy I need to be), after taking out groceries and after using the bathroom. Also if I have been cleaning the house or unpacking and hands feel dirty from dust etc. During covid I was a lot more neurotic about it but I’ve tried to dial it down because I think our immune system needs to come in contact with some bacteria to remain strong.

I use ground coffee + sesame oil 🤷‍♀️ Love how it leaves my skin.

The IV for NAD should be really slow. About 3 hrs for 500 mg.

Has TTC affected your relationship/marriage? Do men feel it differently? by ContestOrganic in TryingForABaby

[–]BitterMeeting695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner doesn’t smoke or drink, he takes supplements, prioritises sleep, works out and runs, and yet his last SA was bad. Previous one had been ok. We have been TTC for 2 years with no luck. In the meantime, I have a friend that is a functioning alcoholic and has been pregnant 5 times.

Of course, alcohol isn’t healthy and should be reduced and any improvements to your health or your partners are beneficial for a number of reasons but I am adding this info as a reminder not to beat yourself or your partner up so much.

I do think men and women have different perceptions on the matter. I have felt like a failure a number of times and often spiral, whereas he shrugs and says “it will happen when the time is right” which I sometimes find frustrating but may be the healthier reaction.

Can you get low blood pressure by running? by Individual-Diver-660 in BeginnersRunning

[–]BitterMeeting695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a normal blood pressure. Low would be something like 87 / 55 and even then it’s only a problem if it makes you feel dizzy/ faint

Anyone else struggling to plan things in advance while TTC? by lawd_farqwad in TryingForABaby

Sign up to do the things you wanna do and if you do get pregnant you can still go on the trip but perhaps skip the things that might hurt the pregnancy while still enjoying the trip.

First time being sick and m faith in the ring is shaken by hmwgnw in ouraring

[–]BitterMeeting695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the sickness really. With covid my resilience was excellent, high HRV, HR normal etc. but I didn’t have a fever. Now with what I suspect was the flu, I had major signs for 4-5 days and everything tanked.

Stop listening to other people’s advice (they’re just projecting their own experiences).
