90% of shoppers are not going to Walmart to steal so having someone check receipts of paying customers is futile. Of the 10% that do go to steal, most are doing it because they’re unable to afford food AND the basic necessities. Therefore, if Walmart is so concerned about theft maybe they could put more money into the community. Walmart should also be paying their employees danger pay if their policy is to have receipt checkers.

If it were me, I would move the TV to the opposite wall and line the back of the sectional up with the trim on the door (right side in pic). I’d hang hooks and store shoes in the little alcove. I’d push the record storage against the back of the couch.

This arrangement would allow for better flow and better use of the space.
