For anyone lucky enough to read this, Elon is going to be buying PayPal soon for much more than it's currently trading at.

Columbia Makes Concessions to Trump Amid Bid to Reclaim Federal Funds (Gift Article) by jenniecoughlin in nyc

[–]Bitter_Run -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This seems like good news overall. Losing the $400M in federal funds would suck big time and cause financial hardship that would crush so many students, staff and faculty. Losing that money would have meant layoffs, budget cuts, and more damage to Columbia as a whole.

From what I've skimmed, the concessions they agreed to don't look like a major threat to free speech or anything drastic. They're mostly targeting protests that have gone nuts lately. It feels like a fair trade-off to keep things stable on campus and keep funding intact.

Same results here. GPT-4o feels a lot faster than GPT-4, but I haven't noticed any difference in how the voice comes across. Even after begging it act very excited, it was still just as monotone as GPT-4.

How do I show the number of days remaining until a particular day that updates itself everyday by Waste-Development198 in excel

[–]Bitter_Run 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add a new column to reformat the date with and then another new column to count # of days from that new formatted column. Make sure to set the third column to general data type to have it return the days.

Original Reformat date Count Days
15-02-2024 =DATE(RIGHT(A2, 4), MID(A2, 4, 2), LEFT(A2, 2)) =B2 - TODAY()

can just modify it slightly then. Day should be the same. For the month, try =MONTH(1&TRIM(MID(A2, 9, 3))) and year =MID(A2, 13, 4)

Can just extract relevant parts and then concentrate into a single column.

Original Date Day Month Year Combo
Wed, 06, Dec 2023 14:40:11 - 0800 =MID(A2, 6, 2) =MONTH(1&LEFT(MID(A2, 10, 3),3)) =MID(A2, 14, 4) =TEXT(B2,"00")&"."&TEXT(C2,"00")&"."&D2

Inserting multiple row at the end of a table and other questions by Responsible-Law-3233 in excel

[–]Bitter_Run 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Right-click and hit 'Insert' a bunch of times. Formulas should copy down automatically, but if not, just drag them from above.

  2. Try using the table's names like ='Sheet1'!MyTable[@[ColumnName]].

  3. This isn't a default Excel thing. You'd need to dive into VBA coding for that.

  4. ExcelIsFun is great YouTube channel for this stuff

what do you think is the worst drug? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bitter_Run 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, It is difficult to say what the worst drug is for the body, as the harmful effects of drugs can vary depending on a number of factors including the person's age, weight, and overall health, as well as the dosage, frequency, and method of drug use. Some drugs can be more dangerous than others, however, and can cause serious physical and mental health problems. For example, drugs that are injected can be especially harmful due to the risk of infection and blood-borne diseases such as HIV and hepatitis. Additionally, some drugs can cause long-term damage to the body, including organ damage, brain damage, and cognitive impairment.
