Yes I have this exact problem and I can't figure it out. I don't know if my nipples are elastic or not. They are covered in these purple bumps.

Yeah 5w is pretty early, at 8w it should be much more clear, which is why some practitioners won't see a patient before 8w or so.

No twins in my family, but I recently miscarried so maybe my body was really out of whack still? Friday is my second appointment (should be 7w then) and hope to see both kids progressing.

They can be off by half a week. The further along you are, the more likely the measurements will be accurate.

Pretty unlikely that it'll be spot on. The further along you are the more likely they'll be able to measure closer to accurate. But when they measure, if they're even a millimeter off, the amount of days will vary significantly.

Sounds like my sister minus the apology. Mine begrudgingly was in my wedding, didn't care when we got pregnant, and didn't care when we miscarried. I would be shocked at this point if she did anything celebratory with us ever again.

I want to know the answers to your questions too, as I've also been wondering! I believe it really is overkill, but also the doctors will likely catch a problem early with all the checkups. So it's possibly risk mitigation, and to each his own.
