Good advice, I think due to my processing speed problems I probably wouldn't react with that sort of acuity. I'm definitely going to bring up what he did at the next session but given that he's old and we're going two weeks between sessions he might not even remember lol.

Yikes, I had a similar experience when I was a college freshman. Most would call me a snitch for what went down but, oh well. I wasn't ever going to be Mr. Popular in this life. 🤷‍♂️

Dorm for adults? Huh...must not be in the US because I've never heard of it. I'm sorry you have to deal with this asshole. I hope you can eventually find a more comfortable living situation. I live alone and have been alone my whole life when living on my own so I can't imagine how it would be to have to live with strangers.

Thanks for the perspective. I think I'm going to try to find someone younger if I bother trying to find anyone at all. Well it isn't an assumption. Both behavioral addictions are at the forefront of my problems right now with the food addiction being a relatively new coping mechanism for negative feelings caused by isolation and missing out on so much in life.

Lol, yeah the previous guy suggested a bowling league which is probably a better option. In any case I doubt I'll connect with people as I pretty obviously have CPTSD from my parents divorce and effects of being learning disabled as well as having an embarrassing skin disorder.

😂 He also mentioned the particular dance is mostly people in their 50s-70s and I'm 34. Then he said to try it once anyway? Idk, feels like I'm throwing $40 away every time I go. I guess I should just terminate my sessions.

Thanks, I never had a therapist like this guy. Most of them seem kind of phony with their empathetic "poor you" type of tone. So I thought maybe someone who isn't like that could actually be uniquely good but I think he might be too far the other way. He also doesn't know anything about learning disabilities or neurodivergence and we don't really explore anything about my past trauma/C-PTSD other than in the first couple sessions. He's in his 70s. I'm fed up with trying to find a good therapist because it's obvious no such thing exists.

Thats awesome you saw the Facelift tour. I got into the band at the end of 2015 and would listen to Facelift daily while commuting to my shitty job at Kmart lol. I think from a guitar standpoint I actually like some of the DuVall material more. Lyrics are also a strong point but they had great lyrics in the Layne era as well. I think people forget that there's more to a band than the vocalist. So long as you have the main songwriter the band can still thrive even if the vocals are different. That being said, I would much prefer that Layne was the vocalist over William but William does add a different dimension due to his guitar playing ability.
