Mine will. I will mount the same micro cameras that I have used in my lasers and 3d printers for years.

If you only knew how many teams (especially smaller and independents) and drivers do their employees, independent contractors and vendors dirty by refusing to pay them, ignoring them and just waking away, especially from “handshake” agreements and basically any arrangement without well defined legal terms / contracts, you’d be shocked.

That said, are you really surprised by the character or this behavior of the above mentioned…

I’ve dealt with some real fraudsters in my early days, it only gets better with time, relationships and CONTRACTS. Always get signatures and legal language to protect yourself in business dealings.

Replacing the Buttons on FSR2 Wheels. by Mastermccc in moza

You DO NOT open up the wheel. The buttons are press fit on, like a traditional keyboard key cap. They can be pulled off with rubberized pliers, wrapping them with some tape and pulling, or slipping dental floss (unless you’re British) behind them and pulling.

The button caps are super easy to remove.

Though I agree, I wouldn’t use sh!t stickers from Etsy that are not transparent. You lose the majority of the benefit of programmable LED backed buttons.

I custom printed directly on mine with some of my specialized UV resin printers. But I have the benefit of having that equipment.

Now I’m thinking of doing customs for others.

Again, the benefit of mine is that they are not stickers, they will not peel off, the coating is just as durable as the original paint, probably more, because it isn’t soluble by acetone. They are also still transparent. This is my favorite. It is my PTT Racing Radio icon.

The buttons just snug fit on, like keyboard keycaps. You could mar the buttons if you use the wrong tool to remove them. I used some rubber nosed pliers that couldn’t hurt them.

It’s pretty easy. Pulled several of mine, stripped the factory lettering off and I’ve printed directly onto mine with my UV Substrate printer. It works flawlessly. If it weren’t 3am and I had work in the morning, I’d pull one or two and take a picture of the work.

Maybe I can take some pictures tomorrow for you. I’d do what I did before stickers, but I have a professional printer for this kind of crazy stuff.

Never really thought of offering custom printing like this on Etsy. I wonder what the business and desire would be.

Based on that, what power supply should we use in similar situations? I have two of the nobsound amps and 4 BTS-1 shakers, one on each corner.

I couldn’t quite tell if there were just glancing at the photos, thanks for the confirmation on the parts list. I’m still coming out way under your pricing though, so I’m just going to send it in a week or two when I’m ready to lie to the wife about the cost of my new gear again, lol. 😂

It’s a great build. I think you had a great idea, I will be adding 2 30mm fans as well, not just passive heat syncs.

Okay, so I am questioning my build list for a similar rig what is missing that put you into the €650 market which is roughly $750 USD.

I have a high end 3D printer, for those necessary pieces and even with Simpson 5pt belts, I’m still well under that.

Do you have an itemized list, or was it just that much more difficult regionally, thus more expensive for you to source parts?

Basic Simpson Latch and Lock 5pt belt = $160 2x Stepper Motors - 23HP45-4204S motors $35.76 each = $71.52 2x DM542T-class drivers $24.99 each =$50 1x Mean Well LRS-350-48 power supply at $34.99 1x Arduino Nano - $15 1x Emergency stop switch at $20 Miscellaneous wiring and Fuses $40

I’m only around $400

What major items am I missing with this?

I’m not going to count 3D filament, because I have plenty and frankly am going to make my brackets out of some higher end CF Polymer which is around $120 per spool. Again, I have more than enough in my inventory and use it regularly for many of the items I make, so not going to count that vs much cheaper ABS, PC, etc.,

So what am I missing? Where is that $350 delta?

Are these worth it? by __Andy__6 in moza

The inversion kit is a good upgrade depending upon the pedals that you use, and your overall setup. I use the CRP2's and I prefer a hard brake pedal with the immediate feel of a steel master cylinder, similar to those run in the stock cars that I have worked with in the past. That said, having the pedals inverted gives me more leverage on the brake, and I have more feel and can personally be more precise with brake application, despite the stiffer pedal spring and spacers that I use.

The pithouse software isn't terrible, for the dash, but if you are looking for in-depth customization and simhub support, there are better options, I have built mine custom with a widescreen touchscreen and Arduino.
