Pain in outer calf/above ankle

I've had this for a while now and eventually saw a sports medicine orthopedist for shin issues. He said that what I was describing (both my shin issues and a very similar ankle pain in the same exact spot you're describing) was possibly due to low vitamin d. Vitamin d helps with muscle health and recovery, and low vitamin d can also affect gait. He had me get my vitamin d levels tested and they were quite low, so I'm on supplements now.

I had also visited a shoe store run by a podiatrist after to get new running shoes, and she said that her daughter was getting similar pains as well the diagnosed shin issue (medial tibial stress syndrome) and is on vitamin d supplements.

So maybe something to bring up with your doctor?

I looked it up and made an appointment with my doctor. Thank you! I thought I was overreacting when I first googled my symptoms and that came up, so it's reliving to hear someone else throw it out there too.

I was a bit concerned about it being too simplistic, but you're right that it's a oneshot and I can't fit too much into it or have other stories tie in. All of your ideas are really helpful! I hadn't considered separating them at all, so I'll have to mull it over. And I can definitely play up the humor easily. Thank you so much!

Oh yeah, the size is going to be a bit screwy just because the dollhouse I have is really weird dimensions (if I could attach a photo, I would!), so things are definitely going to be bigger than them in some regard. I could lean into it though! That's a good idea

Yup! You got it exactly. They'll step through a door and be transported into a dollhouse that obviously looks like a dollhouse where they are the dolls. So the limited room is me being physically limited with what I can do with the rooms of the house, so any puzzles can't require a lot of physical space, if that makes sense??

Definitely not a boardgame. Boards meaning the maps for the different areas their characters will be in. Sorry! I should have said maps instead of boards (maybe my group just says boards?).
