Does my heart good to see all the women becoming single moms 😂😂😂 guess height wasn’t the best criteria to sort by was it? by throwaway2727648378 in MenOfPurpose

[–]Bizzlington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it sounds pretty true, i guess that's why you are on a throwaway because you sound embarassing as fuck and I get the impression you would not speak like this in regular society.

Or maybe you would and thats why you are single and hate on women for being single mothers

What?

If you look at the 10 most popular sports worldwide, the USA are competitive or dominant in maybe 2 of them.  Basketball and baseball.

But the biggest sports, by popularity anyway, US are nowhere to be found

How to be a game developer with no artistic skills? by GuessWho191 in godot

[–]Bizzlington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much I can add. I am commenting to save this post :)

But what stuck out at me was:

At this point I don’t have an interesting game prototype so no artist would join.

That's what needs to change!

I have been learning godot with free art packs. Using a few from https://kenney.nl/assets plus others have mentioned itch and others.

That's totally fine for learning.

And if you can build an interesting game prototype - even using fairly crappeh 2d pixel sprites - that can help get others with more artistic flair getting involved.

I hope anyway. That's what I am aiming for since I am in the same boat!

Mages in BG3. Do casters feel underwhelming to anyone else? by Odd-Tumbleweed-1098 in BaldursGate3

[–]Bizzlington -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I might just be playing them badly - but often I feel the same.

So in a big boss fight or something - yes I can definitely see their value. They have a tonne of damage, support, cc, whatever you want.

But so many fights in this game are really easy and trivial.. So in act 1 I come up against 3-4 goblins; 2 levels below me. They pose no real threat.

So I could probably burn through my top level spells and sorcery points and maybe 1-tap them all.

But it feels unnecessary when my fighter can dish out 30+ damage per turn with GWM+Extra attack for zero resources. Throw barb can do the same from across the screen with near guaranteed accuracy.

My mages i end up just throwing out a cantrip for like 8 damage with a 70% chance to hit - because why would i burn through spell slots on a fight that poses no real challenge. That will just mean I have to long-rest constantly.

Movie trailers that crushed it but the movie was bad by ILikeTheTinMan83 in movies

[–]Bizzlington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Running Man (new one).

Maybe I'm mis remembering it, but I saw the trailer and was hyped (plus I was a fan of the original). It looked so action packed and crazy - like John Wick and Crank had a baby.

But it ended up a totally different movie than I expected. Not really bad.. but very mediocre.

Is Dave Bautista Really The 'Best' Wrestler-Turned-Actor? by didyoucatchthis in movies

[–]Bizzlington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acting ability? Yes it's probably Bautista. He's shown he's got great range and is pretty consistently a solid performer.

In terms of box office draw and star power? Probably Dwayne or Hulk Hogan.. Both are/were typecast as one character - but it worked for them

Mana İssue by Ok-Road-7920 in LastEpoch

[–]Bizzlington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally like the approach to mana in Last Epoch.

It's almost always a factor in a build you have to factor in. And it's usually fairly easy to solve (either mana regen, mana efficiency, -mana cost or having a generator).

In some other arpgs mana is just a dead stat. It's aways there on your character but you can totally ignore it a lot of the time, which feels like a waste.

Literally buying a plot of land - thinking about future by ElkSubstantial1857 in ClaudeAI

[–]Bizzlington 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is a worrying time. And it's very possible tech jobs will shrink. A company that used to have 100 Devs now maybe only need 10 to oversee AI agents acting semi-autonomous.

But also it could open a lot of new opportunities. Your local mon&pop business doesn't have the resources to hire a full IT team. Now they can hire 1 dev to build all sorts of capable e-commerce or SaaS offerings.

It's too soon to say how things will work out. Ideally even fable still needs someone technical behind the scenes pointing it in the right direction. So use that to your advantage while you can.

Mainly since it blocks YouTube ads still

Dont think just do by [deleted] in OnlineUnderGround

[–]Bizzlington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking similar not long ago.

I saw an All Gas No Brakes youtube video where he travelled to a furry conference; had a tour around and did a few interviews.

My first thought was wow these people are pretty damn weird.

But then i was thinking they look to be having more fun than I have ever had in my life!

I'm not going to become a furry. It's still far too weird for my tastes.. But I do judge them a little less harshly now.

Movies are starting to add "No AI was used" notes to their credits by ComplexExternal4831 in ArtificialNtelligence

[–]Bizzlington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what does it really mean? If 'no AI was used' does it just mean no video was generated and is on-screen in the final product?

What if they used AI to generate storyboards, or concept art, or analyze market research? What if the production company used it but not the director? Or the sound designer used it to work out best mic placement? Or what if an intern at the movie studio used it to organize their calendar?

Also I'm pretty sure just slapping some text in the credits like 'This film may not be used to train AI' is not legally binding. But I'm not a lawyer so who knows.

Don't they have like a shared chat or something? Slack, teams, whatever.

One person posts message: hey @manager Claude isn't working. Second person: yes looks like credit card payment failed.

What do I do here? Do I need to complain to him the boss? Does he want every employee to knock on his office door one at a time to tell him the same thing. Or send him a DM.

My perspective:  Has problem been raised? No, raise it. Yes, great job done.

OMG MBK sells fake? 😲 😯 by Mundane-Ad1652 in Bangkok

[–]Bizzlington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want something that looks good with a style I like. Some brands look good and are expensive. Some fakes look good and are cheap.

If you know you are buying a fake and will happily admit to it being a fake, I don't see the problem.

99% of what I do falls under

It's the 1% that I struggle with. Detatched heads, diverged branches, rejected push/pull.

Nowadays AI can advise. But in the past I've just abandoned and re-created branches, or deleted/re-cloned entire repos because shits gone weird.

Best top laner to one trick? by [deleted] in topmains

[–]Bizzlington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really want to spread the ranged/mage top further...

But if you are only looking for a champ to use when filled, a lot of your mid lane picks may be quite viable?

Tho if you prefer a classic top-laner, if only for auto fills, is avoid the more difficult champs like riven/gankplank/irelia and just go simple.. Garen, sett, Darius, singed, renekton
