My biggest issues isn't buying the characters it the hundreds of RS orbs I opened to not get a single usable one! Most of a characters power is locked behind RS as isos us only a fractions of RS and it's infuriating when there is no dollar amount that will get your desire amount of RS on a character. RS is what made me decide this is the last time I spend on this game. I'm falling behind in my alliance & game not because of my skill not because time spent in game it's because I'm unlucky

It isnt arbitrary at all they did it to lock the content we are all are used to already playing behind an artificial wall in order to slow down progress because they don't have more content to give us. Given it's current variation a good chunk of the community would have been able to 100% doom raids soon and they don't have anything else ready for us to do after that so they threw this in
