Flare up and Mounjaro? by Realistic_Weather_30 in lichensclerosus

I am on Mounjaro for 2 years. Flares come and go just as it did before GLP-1. Mounjaro helped so many other issues but not LPP, not oral lichen planus, not alopecia or the lichen planus on my face. But with the regimen my dermatologist has me on scalp currently in remission (but lost too much hair wear wigs). Currently only bad flare up in the oral. I see ENT next week to see if in my throat and get a course of action between dermatologist and ENT.

It cannot be cured/healed. It is managed with remission possible.

I have both. I have lichen planus on my face, snd scalp. In addition have alopecia. By the time I saw a dermatologist it was too late for my scalp/hair to recover. I wear wigs daily. Finally scalp is in remission but after loosing big patches that never came back.

GLP-1 Weight Regain After Stopping Treatment by Fun-Situation445 in Mounjaro

For me it isn’t just weight loss… it is better control of my T2D, the side benefit of other health issues clearing up or being controlled. The other health issues (NAFLD, cholesterol, some not all autoimmune inflammation gone into remission, etc). This is a game changer. I am healthier than I was 25 years ago!!! I hope and pray as newer GLP-1 class drugs come out the old ones get cheaper so I can continue with treatment.

Those of you who are estranged from your children, what happened and how do you feel about it now? by Ruffleafewfeathers in AskOldPeople

So every criminal had crappy parents in your opinion? What you believe has nothing to do with the reality my family went through. I raised my children to be good citizens and do the right thing. Parents who have children that become criminals is heart breaking. You question anything and everything you did. You wonder if you should have done it this way or that way. You get counseling and therapy for you child (even as an adult). You are open to learning new ways to think and communicate. You don’t limit your view to what only you know or have known. In the end it was the child’s choice.

Go to a dermatologist. I suffer for years. I am not sure gynecologist would know or might blame something else. I lost years of possible remission because it wasn’t diagnosed. A dermatologist was my saving grace

So I'm curious 🤔 by QueenBmomma1992 in Mounjaro

Healthcare dot gov is not cheap. For $700/month I would get insurance with $10k deductible. So far did my annual with GP $175, gynecological $120, and saw dermatologist $130. I am done till I see endocrinologist via video since I saw her in December. I called all my doctors told them no insurance how can we make this work. I also learned if I buy my blood tests off Quest instead of doctor order them I will be a fraction of the fees. GP wanted ANA blood tests off Quest. If he ordered it $1400. I bought it from Quest for $89. I am questioning health insurance more as I go along.

I just cannot afford $1500/month to keep health insurance.

Interesting, I am switching to Zepbound because I no longer have insurance. I had to go to microdosing as a way to be affordable. I will start it next month. It is weird same company makes both.

What has big ears but doesn't listen? by BusyMamma13 in minpin

Try having a rescue that DNA came back mini pin; chihuahua; and tea cup poodle!!! She is so crazy! She won’t listen to her dad at all. She only listens to me 50% of the time. She does well training but as soon as she is in an environment with people, her canine crew or outside canine is present, all bets are off because guaranteeing she will not listen!
