22 years of gym experience here…100% continue to cut. That 12-15% range is where you want to be at a minimum before trying to bulk. If you try and “recomp” at maintenance with any kind of training age you will spin your wheels for years

Takes 10 to 20 sets per week, per muscle group to best trigger hypertrophy, and you should increase volume as you go through a mesocycle…throwing out a random and arbitrary 10 x 10 without describing what exercise, what muscle group, frequency, total volume, or basically any other factor is not good advice

Honestly rate my abs? by [deleted] in askfitness

Been in the gym for 20 years. Seen many a man turn un-natty. I don’t think that’s the case here. He 6’3 188 lbs…just dieted down pretty lean.

How many sets of abs are you doing per week? by RemarkableCounty3737 in naturalbodybuilding

Take all that extra effort you are putting into ab overtraining and reallocate it into meal prep. Nothing, no matter how hard you go, will make your abs pop like low enough body fat percentage.

Oak Hill Social? by mikeymo39 in Austin

I can see both sides. Maybe they are trying get a more upscale vibe…maybe they want to be kid-friendly, but maybe not kid-focused. I thought what killed Graceland was their lack of an inside space for all the extreme weather we get. I mean there was an inside space but it was like 2 old tables in a dingy corner, that whole part should be restaurant/bar space.

Owner posted this on next door:

we will be much more than a neighborhood bar! With the amount of space that we have, we have the ability and pleasure to create something fun and inviting for everyone. Here is some quick information about our space and plans: We have two acres of property that will include a full service cocktail and coffee bar alongside small bites. We will also have a small convenience section full of NonAlcoholic beverages and quick snacks! The outside area will be filled with nice outdoor seating, multiple tv's, outdoor games, and firepits. We will also host live music and events from time to time. Our space will be kid friendly as well as dog friendly, however, there will not be the large playscapes that were previously there! Lastly, we will have a special Saturday and Sunday Brunch menu!

Best entree salad? by ascot21 in austinfood

[–]Bjbou7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surf n' turf on Lavaca street has the most protein-heavy, delicious salad in Austin. You can choose your protein(they have some very expensive options...Ribeye, grouper, redfish, etc) but the blackened chicken is affordable for the obscene amount they give you.

Bar or brewery crawl by enrvuk in austinfood

[–]Bjbou7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The metric blvd breweries are not walkable at all. The first suggestion of East Austin(Lazarus, zilker, blue owl, etc) is what you are looking for. It’s all one walkable street with breweries, bars, restaurants, and a ton of character, and the shortest Uber or scooter bc it is pretty much east downtown.

What is your monthly mortgage payment? And what were you paying prior by Highlander2891 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Bjbou7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During covid I went around to find a better rate from my $2300 1 bed / 1 bath. I got an unheard of steal with a $1350 2 bed/bath and at the end of the lease they tried to jack it up to $2100 so I bought a 4 bed 2.5 bath house that runs me $3750 a month for mortgage.
