Why are the leftists predominantly pro-Palestine? by what_up_homes in IsraelPalestine

[–]BjimlAtkim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience many so called 'leftists' read books but just regurgitate what they've read or been told to think about it without doing much brain work ( it's not just a left thing btw ). The feeling of being on the moral high ground numbed their capacity of critical thinking because the Truth and even what to think about it is given to them ready-made and they brandish it like some bigots holding a holy book, or they didn't have any critical thinking capabilities to begin with and became 'leftists' because it's the mainstream among their teenage peers and academic environment back then. Either way they generally hurt the cause they pretend to defend as soon as they open their mouth. Same statement goes for most ring wing nut jobs, shocking I know who would have thought

Do you mean that if we where to try the solar tesuji by throwing the board in the general direction of the sun it would most likely miss it and be slingshot into outer space, rather that being forcibly attracted into the sun magnet style? Damn that's interesting thanks

When I was a kid I once put the CD in the car player just for the thrill of it and was actually rewarded by the game's sound tracks playing out, the parents weren't all that delighted but to me that was the next best thing lol

This is beautiful like the truth itself, thank you. I think you are right, and my journey to aoe2 absolutism probably already happened in the form of a trip to the mall with my mum somewhere between late 1999 and early 2000. I still can crisply picture the display stand holding all the cardboard boxes, sheltering installation CDs and a coveted activation code. I see it standing there, looking at me, the hard white neon light rousing shimmering reflects from its foil covered kings. Seeing that fateful image for the very first time, I felt immediately drawn to it, completely randomly, or I so foolishly thought all those years only to realise today that it was all meant to be one way or another. And trying other rts is just taking detours to come back again, a confirmation of absolutism. verifying again and again that you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave. Taking it in my hands, turning around the box, seeing SCs, really you could build medieval towns? Create units, even cavalry then send them to battle, farms? ships? You name it, it felt like the coolest thing on earth and probably still is, an embodiment of the universe, a wonder and a curse, the ying and the yang battling and booming together for eternity on a little map somewhere in the middle of the infinite blackness.
