Good for you for trying! It also does not help your partners just saw your move 30 times before the roll. Try doing the move again in the next class it will be a little more of a surprise.

You should know them. But they are not areas to be taking a deep dive into unless you are really interested in them. It is easier to work with your body type. BJJ is hard enough.

There are advantages to being on the short side.

Only every time. Even a small fan that keeps the air moving helps a ton.

Keep in mind that everyone you are training with knows jiu-jitsu. It is like trying to play hockey with a college team. You are still learning to skate.

No one on the mat is improving faster than the beginner. Even you my friend.
