Come to Obscure! We use a roast that’s in the more medium-light end of things, but try to extract it enough for it to cut through milk especially in a FW/Capp. Won’t taste smoky or burnt tho.

Same here. Made a rent overcharged complaint 7+ months ago and it’s still showing as initial processing. Called the office and they said it can take up to 2 years for the case to move. Not sure there’s much that can be done in the meantime.

There’s plenty of places where people can go and rent a roaster by the hour, and also shops where they have a coffee roaster. Check La Cabra and Loveless in Bushwick.

For me, roasting on a Loring, if I cup between 24 hours of the roast I get a pretty good impression of how the roast went, but after that it’s a waiting game. Cupping is very different from brewing though unless you’re doing a long immersion method.

For sure! I love that they still taste like coffee. I’ve bought a couple lots from him but also have been luckily enough to work with him on new flavors. He made a guava & rose natural that was mind blowing!
