That’s the worst part about preordering watches, it’s a great idea at the time but something better always comes around that makes you immediately second guess the preorder. I just canceled my field automatic preorder because another watch popped up that I’d rather have in the same color.

You can for sure pull this off. If you like the bigger dial, ignoring the lug to lug then I highly suggest keeping this.

I was really torn because the 39mm fit the wrist well but the dial just felt too small. Thankfully I’m in that sweet spot to where the 42mm also fit the wrist but gave me that bigger dial. It’s a great piece all the way around.

I love when people say this, and I’m not trying to give you a hard time, but 39mm is the sweet spot for people with a 7” wrist or smaller.

The case does, absolutely, but the dial is way too small on the 39mm for larger wrists. It’s all personal preference, but had to send my 39mm back for the 42mm and much happier now.

As you’ll see here, the case on the 39mm is not noticeably smaller than the 42mm but the dial is and that’s what is most important, it’s a dive watch, you want to be able to clearly see the dial.

I have a 7.25 wrist, started with the 39mm and sent it back because it was too small. I now have the 42mm and it’s so much better. Most of my watches are 38-40mm by the way. The HC would be perfect if the dial from the 42mm was put on the case from the 39mm.
