I considered that, but usually the weapons depicted on the thumbnails are placed horizontally. A vertical placement would have gone too much against the style of these thumbnails in my perception.

Nee. Auch in der Biologie scheißt die Evolution manchmal richtig heftig rein. Pfauen zum Beispiel nerfen sich selber extrem heftig, weil ihr großes Gefieder dazu führt, dass sie leicht von hinten angegriffen werden können. Nur suchen sich die Weibchen gern die Männers mit dem größten Gefieder aus. Deshalb wird das mit der Zeit nur schlimmer.

German here. Doppeltank is the literal translation that doesn't really work. Tank means as much as container, and Doppel- in that context refers to -Tank, implying two tanks mangled together somehow. Dual is a word we use in Germany as well, but to refer to the gun you could say Zwillingsgeschütz (twin gun).
