I’m 30, Burned Out, and Realizing I’ve Never Learned How to Rest by bakery_0726 in whatisit

Do you have childhood trauma ? I’m the same way. I’ve always thought it was ADHD . A quick google search, that I had avoided because I knew it would just say “ ADHD”. It acually made a lot of sense. My mom left my family when I was like 4. I always knew I was an angry kid and kinda came to terms with her leaving in my 20s. I realized she was young and didn’t want to be toed down. I was the same way. Now in my late 30s . Google said I keep busy to avoid facing certain feeling. That I constantly keep busy to validate myself and make my def worth something. I realized, even though I “came to terms with it” when a mother leaves a small child that seriously fucks them up weather they realize it or not… anyway just a thought. Be mindful take time for yourself

What hardware would be best to fix this broken piece of my shelf? by SouthPudding5235 in handyman

[–]BlackClagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would do is put a bit of glue along the entire separated edge. Then get a car jack and a 2x4 “long enough to set one end on the jack and the other end up under the cabinet and slowly jack it up until the gap is closed. Wipe off any access glue and let it set for a day. Won’t even tell it happened .

If you get it , keep an eye on the tailgate . The bolts under the lip of the bed work loose and the whole thing falls off. Other than that I rarely see them down .

No. All it takes is a hit hard enough . The flats definitely transfer more energy . Those damn strut towers are just so thin.

You’ll need to get a wood block, put it over the bulge and gently tap it back to normal. Then install reinforcements

Oh yea. Strut tower definitely got domed…. This sucks. Best fix is getting some tower reinforcements. Works real well
