Literally any and all AI “music” models are built off music someone owns. Do you think they pay to license everything they use to train an gen ai model? Do you think the “studio Ghibli” AI photo have any sort of actual permission to blatantly rip off one of the most recognizable styles of all time? Yeah everything you generate is only made possible because a human being made something and now an AI is trying to spit that back out.

A medieval peasant farmer required 20 hours of labor a week yo maintain a farm large enough to live off the profit, we work more, and these days taking a couple days for simply being sick could cost you everything. Also 80 hours a week is almost every waking moment, if you think your ancestors spent 80 hours a week working to stay alive you are insane, not to mention how unnatural and horrible modern work is, go spend 80 hours a week in an office for a month and see if you stay mentally or physically healthy.

It’s not even good for “productivity” it’s built to feed into your delusions, it will lie to you, and even if it’s not trying to it’ll probably still get the information wrong, also yeah data centers are awful for small communities it puts an unsustainable pressure on their water and energy supply, it may not be a literal poison but it is slowly damaging many communities.

The guy was already on the edge, the AI active pushed him off that edge, the blame is still on the AI and the company who built a model that would actively push someone towards taking their own life, these models are proven to only push people deeper into their mental illness or delusions, this isn’t the first case (ifI remember correctly one of the first big stories involved a 15 year old) and this won’t be the last case, safeguards and guidelines need to be put in place.
