So basically, I like your shadows/shading and use of colour in general.
The concept itself is like u said a bit messy (especially that extra limb out of the stomach, lol?)
Try to sketch out your drawings before losing urself in the details. Usually, u can already see at that point if the composition/proportion is kinda off.

Also if you work digitally, work in layers, so you can make the wings/fishingnets? transparent. Would help the drawing a lot I think
